Charlyn Avalon Currently in Diagon Alley, Madam Malkin's Robes
"Charlie, do not pull on my hand like that", a woman with long brown hair and brown eyes scolded her daughter who was pulling on her hand. Charlyn Avalon was annoyed by her mother. The overprotective woman had started to be even more overprotected a few months ago when it hit her that Charlie would soon be going to Hogwarts and therefor be far far away from her protection. Charlyn couldn't be happier for that escape. With 11 years she did not really want to be seen holding her mother's hand, but Mila Avalon had insisted that the girl would not let go in this crowded place that was Diagon Alley. Charlie had been here before many times. She grew up in the wizarding world and while living near London, the shopping area Diagon Alley has been her family's favorite place to get whatever they needed. Though Charlie knew where to go and where to find the stuff she needed, and though she knew ecaxtly where her mother's "emergency meet up point" was in case they got seperated, the mother would still not let go of her daughter's hand. "Mom, we're already quiet late. I haven't gotten one single thing yet and tomorrow is the departing towards the school. Would you just please move a little quicker?" But despite her begging Mila Avalon didn't feed up her steps. "If you would have gone here with me days ago I wouldn't be in such a rush now!" Mila had dragged out this moment for as long as possible. She didn't want to let go of her daughter, letting her go to Hogwarts, leaving her in the hands of someone else to take care of her. The last time a kid of hers went to Hogwarts, they died one year later. Though that had nothing to do with the school, she still related the situation to the place. Charlie's eyes glued to the shop 2nd Hand Brooms; she had always wished to sit on a broomstick. But the only time she was allowed to do so was when she was able to sleep at her brother's place, away from her protective, paranoid mother's eyes. Those moments were rare and therefor Charlyn had not much experiene, but to say the least, she never had trouble staying on the broom. "Okay, mom, look." She began softly and tried to convince her. "You take the list and get the cauldron and the other equipment that I need. And I go get the uniform. Look it's right there." She pointed towards Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions. "I will only stand in the shop and let someone measure me. It's completely safe. I won't leave the shop, I promise." Mila Avalon took a while until she finally gave in. Charlyn was overly happy when the mother nodded and let her run off to the clothing shop. She watched her until she disappeared inside the shop, only then she turned and left to quickly get the things her daughter needed. Charlie grinned widely as she stepped into the shop. A few students were gathering around in the shop, mostly older ones that already knew the process and just needed bigger robes now. Madam Malkin was nowhere to be seen, Charlyn guessed that the lady was in the back of the shop to get a robe from behind there or anything else. She would surely be back in no time. So Charlie wandered around and looked at the some of the robes that were bright colors like yellow or red or blue. She stepped throug hthe shop and read a tag, Self-repairing robes. "Wow", she whispered.
