Rarely, does the woman of 23 have opportunities to drink to her heart's content but when she does, she relishes every moment of it. Lucas believes it to be in her best interest to stick to red wine at dinner and perhaps a glass to wind down at night. They were no longer in college, after all. That 'lifestyle' wasn't meant for people who had far better things to achieve than waste their days away being piss drunk. That part of Ash was actually something Lucas frowned upon - saying she was drinking to forget, and that was never a good thing. Not once did she think that the reasons why she drank was because she didn't know how to deal with her problems-- she simply liked to drink -- but then she thought about past incidents and he was right. She did drink to forget... If the brunette remembered one thing fondly, it was the party the Royal Blues threw mid camp that everyone, especially Team Grey, crashed. The party was wild and the clashing of personalities was undeniable. The best part was her and Jackson going head to head in a drinking contest... but all fun and games ended when the Mother Wolf realized how distracted she was. The one interaction that night she would never forget was when Fox pulled her to the side while she was shitfaced, saying things like she would regret rejecting him. His snake grin was plastered on his ugly mug and to this day, it makes her shiver. In that brief moment, he somehow had someone steal Oliver away from her. Why-why did she think it was a smart idea to bring him to the party? To say Ash was freaking out was an understatement and on top of her paranoia, Fox blackmailed her to make sure that she didn't direct 'this incident' back to him. Everything else of that night was blurry but she did push her pride aside to get the two people she knew would find her responsibility (and pseudo-son): Kitt and Tate. At the time, Tate was flirting with Fauna, who seemed to be bashful as ever, but slightly more loose because of the alcohol, while Kitt was looking around the party beside the Queen Bitch Hana, most definitely searching for the same person that Ash was seeking. Jackson had went to the bathroom and was excited like a damn puppy to play another game with her but by the time he got out: Ash, Tate, Kitt, Ghost, and even Fauna were gone. Regret isn't something she wants to feel but what else was she suppose to do? Who knows what would have happened to Oliver-- he was chased all the way to the lake by individuals wearing rather creepy costumes... Regret wasn't something she wanted to feel. But it was years from that-- what could go wrong tonight? Ghost was here to congratulate her on getting the job but also for her upcoming wedding and for a moment, she had the right to celebrate! Aisling had forgotten that she was at a work-related event as she swayed with her friend to the music. Mm, perhaps she should get another drink. The environment did not speak work anymore. The big CEOS were making their leave while the younger employees were turning this place into a high end club, playing Martin Garrix original mix of Animals. When was the last time she attended an event where everyone seemed to forget all about their ambitions? Jesus, was it seriously shortly after her 21st birthday? Did Lucas really get her to stop partying the moment she legally could drink? Unfortunately, all this was not on Ash's mind. No. She was simply jumping to the bass with Ghost, who couldn't help but hold her hands and enjoy this fun yet intimate moment with his friend. That is, until a surprising face entered the picture. “Oh my god, Ash! Ghost!” Her dark eyes glanced over to a blonde woman she hadn't seen in what felt like ages. Elijah's sister, Adielle. Is this really a thing right now? Ash's dancing immediately came to a halt, even Ghost looked at the other woman in bewilderment. It seemed like Alex was having an internal conflict between his hatred for Elijah and checking out Adi's body (Fuck you manhood!). She could tell his mind and body was put into instant shock, unable to react. The usual Ash would have probably questioned the shit out of Adi and suspiciously wonder why she was at her work party. Sure, she can gather that the girl was wearing a server's outfit, but knowing Adi... something was not right, since she was NOT right in the head. "What the fuck are you doing here?!" Ash exclaimed in a blissful attitude, a drunken smile on her fair skinned face. If she wasn't drunk, her words would have stung, but she was honestly feeling too good to care. Ghost had snapped out of his mental state and suggested for them to step outside, especially since he had to get going soon, "Hey, let's get some fresh air. We won't have to scream off the top of our lungs if we do!" He paused and sighed, politely requesting one more thing, "I know we could talk on the balcony but I was wondering if we could make our way downstairs. I have a taxi coming to get me." With a little pout, Ash stared at her friend, obvious loneliness in her gaze, as she asked him, "Where you off to?" "A good friend of mine is at the hospital in labor. I wanted to surprise her too." Alex could tell how hurt Ash was but as much as he wanted to stay... he promised the husband to his friend that he'd show up. He was not one to break promises. Hearing that Ghost didn't only come back for her did make her sadness build up, but the aspiring Editor decided to brush it off. "Alright, let's sneak ourselves some drinks before we make our escape! Fuck coming back. This party wouldn't be fun without you two~" Like good old times, Ash devised a plan for Adi to steal bottles of whatever at the bar while Ghost distracted the bartender. God, this felt so nostalgic... it was like they were teenagers again! Within time, Adi was as successful as ever and the three of them rushed out and nonchalantly made their way down the elevator. Ghost whistled like a smooth criminal while hiding bottles in his coat, Ash would be the distraction if they bumped into anyone who wanted to investigate further, and Adi would make sure that the alcohol made it out the building safe, by any means possible. The elevator ride was long as shit. Mid-way through, an older woman with red hair entered with black glasses and an extremely formal grey suit on. However, the odd thing about her outfit (and her hair) was it was slightly disheveled like she had just had one HELL of a good time. Before the door slid closed, the still very observant Ash saw Marcus Sullivan (her boss) zip up his pants. Her mouth couldn't help but drop at this. The older woman probably by like ten years? Twenty? Stood in front of Ghost who was in between the Camp Liberty gals (for life!). Her emerald orbs glanced back at Ash, who couldn't help but wink at her and tease, "I too like black lingerie." The woman's face turned the color of tomato and immediately looked at her messily buttoned blouse that revealed a little too much. Once her stop came, the stranger went rushing out, mumbling profanities not meant for children. The elevator closed once more and both Ghost and Ash burst out in laughter (Tundra, you can choose if Adi joins along). Once the lobby door opened, all three of them ran out on the glossy, marble floors (Ash's silver heels resounding against the ground) and exited the building with pride. Crossing the street, the dark haired woman led them to a secluded bench (in a nearby park) and finally, began to talk. Unfortunately, the moment Ash was ready to rest her feet and sit, Ghost had to take his leave. After a long embrace, something that showcased the feelings of desperation and a heart wrenching 'I miss you', Ghost promised he would see her tomorrow and took his share of tonight's 'earnings' with him. Sitting down on the bench, Ash gestured for Adi to join her, "I would have never expected to see your face like this... but I'm glad I got to see you. This adventure was nice." For a drunk person, Ash was still rather coherent, but she did slur her words here and there. In her hand was Crown Royal Canadian Whiskey, smooth but dangerous. "First, Alex comes and surprises me and now you! I don't know if I should be flattered or scared." Taking off the cap on her bottle, she took a nice, lengthy swig, and leaned her head on the back of the bench to stare at the stars. "How long has it been since I've had this much fun?" Anyone who looked at the woman in red could tell that one, she probably has not drank like this in AWHILE, and two, she was most definitely on the verge of passing out. Lifting her left hand up, she stared at her engagement ring, "Adi, you ever wonder if you could... restart..." Bringing her hand down resting it on her chest, she let the breeze of the night touch her skin, as her melting chocolate orbs steadily closed shut. The open bottle of whiskey dropped to the floor, Ash's purse was beside her, and someone who usually never lets her guard down drifted into a deep, sleep.
