Boom | The Vanguard | War-Pulse The pain in the Silver Sorceress’ head felt as if a freight train had bulldozed through her. While she suffered through the slowly dissipating headache, the sorceress looked around and saw the havoc that War-Pulse had caused. Lying before her was her sister, who had taken the brunt of War-Pulse’s attack so that she could save her older sister. In a fraction of a second, if the other heroes were looking, they would have seen a moment of tenderness from the Silver Sorceress towards her younger sister. She took Sumac into her arms and cradled her. She even shed a tear over her sister’s critical condition. But when she looked up where War-Pulse was standing, her sorrowful expression melted away and only anger was left. In her rage, she continued her spell. However, the fury that drove her accelerated and strengthened the spell. While her spell again absorbed the light within the immediate vicinity, just as a black hole would, three vapor-like clouds, similar to the rejuvenating spell that they had just used, appeared and zoomed away towards three of her allies. One departed out of the facility towards Kansas, where Thunderbolt had left Jaws. Another darted down one of the hallways, definitely heading towards Effigy. Finally, the last one went towards Black Widow. When the cloud encompassed the drider, it teleported her away from the facility to another location. Once the Silver Sorceress had absorbed all the light in the room into a translucent orb between her palms, she finally unleashed the final stage of her spell, sending out a shockwave composed of magical energy. Unless the combatant had some sort of resistance against magic, the shockwave would cause that person to fall into a deep, living nightmare, just like the one that Lyger had suffered before War-Pulse attacked the Silver Sorceress and her sister. Whatever was their greatest fears, the images they would see would seem almost as if they were actually playing out in front of their own eyes. This endgame spell took almost all the energy that the Silver Sorceress had. If Doctor Diplodoc needed her to do anything else, the Silver Sorceress would not have been able to carry through with most offensive or defensive spells at her disposal. However, she remembered her prior encounter with War-Pulse. She reached out her arm and sent out another vapor spell that was identical to the one used on Black Widow. “I know that you go boom when you go crazy, so I’m doing everyone a favor by doing this.” Once the vapor dissipated, War-Pulse had been teleported into a nearby lake so that all the metahuman would do was make an explosion in the water. Then, no with all her energy had been exhausted, took her sister in her arms again before she blacked out, leaving the room silent and still. When the rejuvenating spell had been unleashed, it had affected both Effigy and Arachne so that the charm would not give away Effigy’s cover. However, since this second spell would teleport Effigy away from the facility, blowing his (or her?) cover would not be an issue any longer. This second magical mist was attracted over towards the ‘Arachne’ who still had her mask on and had not been violently interrogated by the team and who was the one that Vigilante had originally marked as the impostor. Before he had completely teleported away, Effigy pressed his hand against his lips and blow a kiss at the second team, taunting them as he got away. Before anyone could do anything, Effigy was nowhere to be found. After Effigy had escaped, the real Arachne just crossed her arms and glared at her so-called teammates. She could have yelled and screamed until she lost her voice, but she knew that it would not be worth it. Arachne just gave them a glare and the silent treatment. After she thought that she had shown enough of her displeasure, Arachne pulled her mask back on. Now that this problem was fixed, at least partially, it was now time for the second team to confront the mastermind behind this entire crisis. While they did not know whether the doctor had been teleported out or not, once they have reached the command center of this facility, they will find Doctor Diplodoc waiting for them.
