Background: Wars are always things that cause pain, suffering, and death. Having been a soldier in a brutal civil war, James Issak was more familiar with those facts than most. He was there at the end. At that final battle that crushed the rebellion. James felt so devastated and lifeless at the suffering that he witnessed at the end that he decided to everything he could to improve the lives of everyone that he could manage.

He was discharged after the war and he immediately put himself to work on learning every skill he could get his hands on. Anyone that needed help he went out of his way. Unfortunately, his human body could only manage so much and his body gave out and he passed away before getting anything of note accomplished.

Not expecting a prompt giving him a second chance at life, James was more than happy to change his existence into something far more than human.

Class: Jack-of-All-Trades
Race: Ascended - Ascended appear human, however they are not. Ascended were at one point human, but they have ascended to a true calling. That calling may vary based on the individual, but most cases are for helping people in one way or another. Their actions are entirely decided by this calling.

Abilities: 
Jack-of-All-Trades, Master-of-None (Passive) - It's only natural that a Jack-of-All-Trades knows a little of everything but never excels in any of those things. These skills are purely mundane even if the origin of the knowledge is created by powerful magic.

Service with a Smile (Passive) - This can be unnerving or entirely relaxing, but Jack-of-All-Trades is always happy with a smile especially when he's assisting someone.

Looks like Nothing Special (Passive) - Jack has no extraordinary appearance. In fact his appearance is so mundane that it is easy to overlook him even if he's standing in plain sight unless of course you're looking for some help.

Defensive Aura (Toggled) - Jack can turn on an aura that makes it harder for him to be hit as some force partially deflects physical attacks. The heavier the attack the more it wears on the energy required to keep up the aura.

Pristine Appearance (Passive) - Regardless of how much damage Jack has taken and whatever injuries he has received, Jack always looks perfectly healthy. This doesn't mean that he is actually health, but after taking a beating and surviving or even winning this appearance can be somewhat demoralizing.
