When he heard the lightning and the sounds of the bird flying off - he could not actually [i]see[/i] it due to the angle of the webcam he was using but hearing the other Flame Haze talk about it in suspicion... it unnerved him. 

As the Flame Haze began dispersing, however, he began to wonder just what the hell the point of him going through all of that trouble arranging those laptops were. Fear turned into annoyance as he quickly got on the search engine, copied and pasted an image of a facepalming cartoon character and set it as his online avatar, ensuring that everyone at the meeting could see how the laptop he was communicating through had the image which reflected his exasperated situation. 

[i]"...we are,"[/i] he commented in a mutter as Alastair ran off of the webcam's view chasing after a bird, not quite unintentionally leaving the microphone on, [i]"off to a great start."[/i] 

He was, most definitely, sarcastic.
