Late bloomers seem to take some pretty bold stances on relationships. I could probably go back and forth with you on this thing, but this isn't the time or place. I will say that I doubt you'll hold on to that idea for too long.
You're right because the older I get the more I realize I'm constantly changing and that's why I don't want it because I'm more afraid that someone will fall for the person I am today and then tomorrow I'll be different and not the same person they thought they loved. You know? It's complicated like that. I mean the idea of love is nice I'm sure, but also pretty fucking terrifying.
Love isn't something you do. It's something that happens to you. No matter now much you resist. It's a bitch like that, and I'd join you if I didn't know that I'll be falling for yet another pretty young lady within a couple months. But I'll drink to it.
See I've always had two ideas of love, the first is one that you choose. It's the same for family, friends, romantic partners in that you choose to treat them with the same kind of repect and give them the same kind of support that they give you, in spite of when you fight or disagree you still choose to be there for them and make up. Then there's romantic love, the kind you can't really control that sneaks up on you and makes you feel and act weird but at the same time it's such an amazing rush. It's fickle and comes and goes and that's the kind of love everyone writes songs and shit about because it's so damn crazy and unpredictable. In the context of the first kind, I always try to show that kind of love to everyone I meet. Simply by respecting and acting kindlu toward others even if you yourself are having a bad day is one of those little things that helps make the world a better place. As for the second, I haven't really experienced it (or at least it's never been reciprocated?) So I guess I've been lucky so far but I'm a little freaked out now that it might happen someday when I'm not expecting it. That would be really inconvenient.
