Kanye West had a product that people liked and a way of presenting himself in public that further built his brand and popularized his product line. In that way, Kanye's musical career is actually [i]incredibly[/i] similar to Trump's political career. He's giving people what they want and in a way that attracts attention. You do not multiply your inheritance by several orders of magnitude and become a party leader in spite of a complete lack of political experience by acting foolishly. Trump is towing a line just like every other politician in history, and not even the line that he's towing is anything new—just different from the lines towed by people with names like Clinton and Bush.
