[hider=History of Prium]Prium is a relatively small planet, around the size of our galaxy's Mars, in fact, it is like Mars in a lot of ways, it looks about the same from space, it has a similar surface, but one thing Prium has that Mars doesn't, piles upon piles of resources. Prium has stores of iron, carbon, water, geothermal heat vents, silicon, and aluminum.

In 2100 Earth was suffering from a major crisis.

It had been years since they last had natural resources, and now they continuously relied on artificial resources, created through the process of nuclear fusion. Eventually, they ran out, and turned to the stars.

Mars was first, and that lasted until 2250, though they still ran out.

The human race continued wasting resource after resource, with many countries sending out colonies to build and harvest.

However, President Harriet Jules came up with an idea that would potentially allow the humans to solve their energy crisis.

By establishing private colonies under business owners, she would be able to harvest the resources at a price, but as the supply would need to match the demand, hopefully the businessmen would be savvy enough to keep their resources available.

Deciding that now would be the best time for this experiment, New Washington, a frontier commonwealth that had not been brought to harvest yet, had been chosen for the location, with land loaned out to a group of bright investors. They quickly established they headquarters and moved to...

[hider=Native Life]Prium has an assortment of small flora and resilient fauna. Adapting to their harsh climate, the Prians are powerful and very hard to kill. Take care when exploring, and be even more careful when alone.[/hider]

New Washington is the capital of the Prium regime, led by an elected governor of the planet. New Washington is commanded by old Washington, though it is the only part of the planet to be controlled by Americans, it serves as the central hub for civilization on the new world.

While technically not allowed in the affairs of the private colonies, the 40th amendment to the American constitution makes it so that New Washington possesses the only army on Prium, and is granted rights to invade and take over the private colonies if they raise an army, mistreat citizens under their care, or cause too much damage to the native flora or fauna.[/hider]
