Understood. I'll just think of something else then. I'd normally accept the challenge of writing myself out of a difficult situation, but for now I have too little information on everything the character would have to work around, what the place looks like etc. to make it work in the time I have. 
Do you have any roles left that you desperately need on the ship? I read about the police officer, but I'm a little unclear about his role on the ship. Are there so many people awake that it's a bit like Babylon 5 and there's enough going on to need a police force on board to keep everything in line, or is it more of an NCIS/JAG kind of thing that keeps the military in check?
