[@Sep] That does answer most of my questions actually, and I am confident in my ability to play two characters as long as no one objects to it. I figured they'd probably receive military classification, but if you only require the robotics technician to have a rank then I would be grateful if you or [@The Survivor] would assign one to him, either now or after I create his CS. 

As for the rule of three, would it be three each for a total of six? That seems like a lot, so perhaps only three between the two of them, otherwise it could breed resentment among other crew members, for those who were forced to leave some of their loved ones behind, it doesn't seem fair.
