[@boomlover] It's not gonna be like a plane where you actually adjust pitch and yaw manually - though for emergency situations there will be a manual override in terms of a control stick. You'll mainly be plotting our course through a terminal and controlling the speed of the ship. 

As a BSG fan think of it like the folk that plot the course for the Galactica, they just use consoles.
