He didn’t understand how to explain it but he felt something from staring at them. A plunge in his gut and perhaps a swelling in his heart; truly it sent a thrilling shiver down his spine. “I’m not sure what a simile is but I know what I feel from looking at them, Jax. They aren’t living their lives the way they should. Their use to this,” He said mindful, emphasizing their particular and all too common kind of existence. Then his voice grew kinder. “ When I’m king they’ll see what it looks like to have irreversible and absolute freedom. We all will.” Silence slid in soon after, followed by their food, and in the middle of that a guest. Bogard looked up at him from his plate, the sausage and eggs that he had order was near done. A small mess near the edge and a portion of his last sausage was stuck on his uplifted fork. It was placed back on the plate after the man’s question had reached his ears. Bogard studied the boy before answering with mirth, “Mhmm,” nodded Bogard with absolution. “Why you wanna know? You some undercover marine or something. Want to go at it? Just let me know cause I don’t plan on backing down. It's my goal to become the next Pirate King, naturally I can’t run from you.” He began to notice small inconsistencies in the crowd as they passed. A flourish of white and blue, the words “MARINE” emblazoned on shirts. It became a resounding thunder, the natural sound of the crowd. Bogard smiled as dozens of marines systematically lined up in front of the cafe. Demands began to mumble through the glass and closed-up cafe. Employess started making for the door, leaving it swinging and slamming on its hinges. Red Hood ignored them and stared at the newcomer, feeling that the world, was oddly enough, working for them instead of against them. The innocence, or was it curiosity, in the man's eyes were stirring something inside him.
