Yes, different methods are fine, but I'm not very sure about the ability of making her victims loyal to her. It sounds a bit too overpowered to me, since it could lean into controlling someone else's character, or in your character being able to create an army. I'm sure you weren't thinking in doing that, but it still feels a bit unfair.
