And due to immigration, emigration, invasion, and Italy being in pieces for the better part of one and a half thousand years, the initial summary applies: either damn near everyone's a barbarian, or nobody is. 

She's either not a barbarian because that would be applying arbitrarily specific criteria, or [i]is[/i] because everyone is.
