Apologies for the heresy that is a double post but I wanted it to draw attention to the post (as I would inevitable leave someone out if I attempted to @mention everyone). Regarding the confusion of how the GM system will be working in this RP I am the OP and the GMs are myself, Wolverbells and Lillium (and also Gonzo when he's about). Please come to any of us with any concerns or questions you have about your characters, the plot or any other players. If any one of us says something then please assume that it is something we have decided upon as a group; we will say so otherwise. I know this particular part has been unclear. This thread has moved very quickly and I did not have as much time as I wanted to keep things organised properly. I have relied upon Wolverbells and Lillium to make decisions and organise things in my absence while I sort some things out on my end and that has included double-checking some of the assertions I have made. We all have different styles of being a GM and I know that can be difficult to get used to but, as I said, if you have any questions or concerns please PM one of us to discuss it. The OOC The OOC got a little... out of hand earlier. Both in volume of posts and, later, the tone of them. Firstly, as per Lillium's suggestion, we now have a Skype group set up to keep the light chat we had going out of the thread. I love that we mesh as individuals and players and it heralds great things to come for this RP. On the other hand it does verge upon spam level and I really don't want a moderator to come down and tell me off for it, however unlikely that is to happen. Also having to refresh the page constantly was a bit frustrating for some. I will be moving the link to the group chat to the first post so it's easily available. Secondly, the tone of the OOC became quite confrontational earlier. Please keep this to PMs. If you have any issues with another player, PM them, or a GM. If you want to challenge a GM decision do it by PM. As you would expect in real life at school, the work place or elsewhere in the world, you would try to solve any disputes privately rather than air it out for all to see. I believe that we should not be 'Keyboard Warriors' and use the anonymity of the internet to do things differently so please settle disputes privately without drawing attention to them. Again, any issues, come to a GM and we can help mediate. I'm not one to say 'no swearing in the OOC' but any abuse, whether it can be considered right or wrong (I believe there is never a reason to hurl abuse at someone), is unacceptable. Regardless of whether you, or anyone else, feels it is justified, you will not participate in this RP if you are aggressive towards other players. Character Sheets The other GMs have been looking over all of the character sheets, including ones I have approved, as we consider balance of the roleplay. This includes our own and I, myself, have made adjustment to my character sheet as a result of suggestions from them. As I said earlier, I was keen to get the roleplay off quickly and was not as organised as I could be, for which I apologise. We are re-visiting powers to see if there are any potential issues but we are not attempting to 'nerf' or make anyone's ability useless. If we make a suggestion you are free to put forward your point of view and we will consider it, we are not infallible and are open to any counter-arguments. I say this as I do not wish anyone to be defensive should any advice or suggestions be given. Reacting angrily/aggressively towards a suggestion is not appropriate. Bringing that attitude into the OOC is not appropriate. Bringing up the content of private messages without the permission of the other party(ies) is most definitely not appropriate.
I'd like us all to work and write and play together as a group and, from what I've seen from the Skype chat and the majority of the interactions in this OOC, we mesh well as a group and get on. I, personally, try to be as accessible as a GM as possible and, when roleplaying with you all, I will try to interact as a participant rather than a controlling leader, but please do not forget that if any GM makes any suggestions then it is imperative that you do take them into consideration and understand there will have been a good reason for them. Thanks for taking the time to read this (assuming you did, I got bored writing it, personally!) and I look forward to enjoying the rest of the RP with you.
