The economy is a newly instated limited state intervention system which mostly focuses on shutting down drastic drops in the economy. The economy is recovering from a low-turn.
Otherwise the regular people have a rather good at GDP 32.000 Yarn. which is 68085 Crowns.

[b]Social Status:[/b] The recent economic depression has made the life in Northburn less extravagant, but basically none live in misery.
The overarching majority of people in Northburn is in the middle class. The upper class however is actually more widespread in its wealth than normal.
The middle class holds the majority of the votes in Northburn since every citizen holds one vote. Citizens have to be registered, and people are not born into citizenship. However, citizenship is usually granted to everyone who applies which can be done at 18 years of age.
Which is also the legal age in Northburn.
The school system in Northburn is highly successful and each child is taught a lot. This results in Northburns people having a high educational standard.

[b]Military Status:[/b] The military has been lessened over the course of the economic depression, however during the 1940's several bases were built, and in the 1990's the military spending was rather high until the depression. Meaning the nations war materiel hasn't really been updated since the 90's.
Compared to other nations, Northburns military is pathetic in size.
The military research department is a monstrously monetarily efficient machine. Seeing several very high quality inventions prototyped with far less spending than some other nations.
Northburn has high quality equipment at a reasonable cost, but little military spending so they don't have a lot of it.
The Northburn military aircraft hold great quality, but few wants to buy them because of their low production rate.
The northburn military defence force has a turretless tank of very high quality, it is capable of digging in by itself and has a very potent auto-loading 122mm rifled cannon. The sloped design of the tank makes it look like a wedge, which makes it highly resistant to incoming fire. The tank is not common however and its design was made in the 90's, making it superior back then, but due to 20 years without a replacement, a passable machine at best in the current years.

[b]Military Structure:[/b]
The military is a high quality and well equipped force that has their military service as their actual job. So it is what pays their salaries. The Northburn universal conscription was ended in the 2000's after a yearly drop in applications and funding since the 1960's.
When the universal conscription was in effect all males of 18 years old served in the military for 8 months before returning to the general society. As it got less and less funding the amount of people actually accepted was what changed, so while everyone went to the conscription office, very few were accepted. Until the universal conscription was removed altogether.

The military is commanded by the grand commander of the army. This position is currently held by Erik Vikning.

Due to living in the northern hemisphere, Northburn is a land with a warm summer, but a harsh and cold winter. The army is therefore superiorly trained in winter conditions.
