Fun fact, Captain America joined Hydra in one of the recent comics apparently. WILLINGLY I might add. So its pretty likely SHIELD would recruit or even promote Red Skull to around Agent Coulson's level at this point.
That's a part of canon I'm willing and have (within this RP) destroyed and negated completely. So, yeah. No. In this universe (MCU + 616 Mash up; And I'm happy to include the various X-Men franchises into the mix, too) that whole deal with Cap and his mom are pretty much a "clever" artist's headcanon of "what really happened". Hydra Cap pissed me off too much to think about it and I highlighted it in the OP. Or, at least, I implied what I thought of it. I can go on a tangent when it comes to this particular issue and I'm just waiting for Marvel to make it's money off the gimmick and retcon it once they've milked it dry to ever think to look at a Cap comic again.
Anyway, before I scream about that. I think Roze and Roosan bring up excellent points. Something like this would fit well with the X-Men (maybe. possibly. better than SHIELD, if anythign), but when you look at the characters we have now and look at their thematic, it just doesn't really fit with it. I think Roosan explains this pretty perfectly. It's too fantastical and while we do have someone here from Alfheim (Erik) there's not a lot in 616 or even much mentioned in Thor 2, that it allows the both of us to craft something that would work with the them the MCU have given us. Which is what [@Roosan] explained. Space-elves. How fucking weird is that? But in this universe it works and can be grounded in its pseudo-science better than a toon character. It's just, and I keep reiterating this, you have to look at our roster now to see the kind of power I'm looking to fill. [@Angel Eyes] previously stated
LOL, maybe its a sign that u should find a new concept. But in seriousness though, if your gonna try and use it here too, I'd definitely advice again that u modify her greatly. As in cutting down on 75% of the powers at least. Otherwise, you will probably illicit backlash again. No one likes to lose the immersion and reality of the RP and your character naturally illicits this response. Hence the track record she has had in like 3 rps I've seen you try and use her in. Definitely tone her down so you can avoid issues. Just my advice though.
And it's happening again. I think this is a power that relies too heavily on everyone agreeing with it to work and we've already got a rift in the OOC between the players, regardless of how you intend to play this. But also this
Thirdly, are you honestly telling me you would find it impossible to write more convincing weaknesses than bad luck? That anything other than that is just not possible in any way, shape or form? I find that unlikely, I have no doubt you could write more interesting flaws and weaknesses, should you put your mind to it rather than saying 'no, no, can't be done, she'll just have to be god'.
I second this. I second this to an incredible degree. All of her weaknesses are so off-base they aren't weaknesses. I was being generous calling them soft weaknesses because they rely too heavily on her having a bad day. They also rely too heavily on me metagaming to keep this character in check. I'm not happy to do that. If I have to work to keep a character's power level in check, one of us is doing something wrong here. Because if I'm focusing on making sure your character doesn't literally steam roll through my plot points and devices, then I'm not able to focus on giving everyone else an enjoyable game that challenges them creatively to write and develop their characters in a manner that befits the plot. Like I said prior, her ability is too 'Solo' focused. It works better in an environment that allows her to roam free in a writing standpoint. If you put that individual in a game full of people with characters that are just as important, it either breaks her a part or it makes everything revolve around her. And right now, I can't see a situation in which I don't have to literally drag the plot around her powers.
