Holden is a former member of The Hand a group of mystic ninja's. 

Raised since childhood to be a killing machine, he excels at martial arts and stealth (he can sneak up on about anything) but ummm, he's not very good at anything else... 

He's visibly confused by basic modern day stuff like T.V's and he sucks at talking...especially with people. The reason he's good at hiding is because he's not great at lying his way out of situations....or talking in general..like..well..
