Yes and no. Technically, yes he can teleport himself. But he lacks his father's innate spatial relation ability that keeps him from teleporting into a solid object and his mother's chaos effect means he would teleport 150 feet in a random direction along the XYZ axis.

That, he has a better chance. However: 
1) They weigh so little that they would hardly change position, far more likely to change direction of projectiles flying at him.
B) There would still be the chance to teleport them into his hand if he did it too soon.
