[@Rune_Alchemist] [hider=Really Long Explanation]I've took out Witchcraft entirely, but I'll try to explain Ritual Magic so it can be better understood. It can in theory, be used to perform every kind of magic as it's sole purpose to make magic circles to control the spell being cast. However, you have to know what kind of spell you're trying to cast beforehand so you can use it with Ritual Magic. With the circle gathering magic and controlling the flow, the ingredients to be used to 'design' the spell if you don't have the magical aptitude and the words, song, phrases or gestures to solidify the spell aka enhance it. Its a form of magic designed to enchance the other arts of magic by drawing in magical energy to fuel the spell and control the energy during spellcasting process. In exchange for speed, it is basically adding on either power, control or both to a spell but requires time to do so. Once done, out comes the spell from the magic circle in a more powerful/stable state. It's basically an art of magic to boost one's own abilities artificially to get the extra insurance when used. [hr] For example: Mage 1 shoots out a fireball vs. Mage 2 who shoots out a fireball using Ritual Magic to enhance it. Mage 2 would win in terms of sheer power, as the circle he would use would gather more energy into the spell but should Mage 1 shoot a fireball in Mage 2's immediate vicinity, he wouldn't be able to use ritual magic to empower his spell to defend. As he has to 'draw' the circle and draw the magical energy from the vicinity, which would be too slow to react to the fireball coming at him. Or if Mage 3 wanted to create a barrier of lightning using magic, but lacked the skill/finesse to do so. He can draw a magic circle around himself to regulate the spellcasting process as it is a spell too strong for him and needs to control it, or he'll roast himself and friends. He'd have a higher chance of performing the spell correctly, but if he's already lacking the skill to do it normally he'll have to do it slowly and after casting it, if he doesn't have the resources to burn then faces the possibility of death by exhaustion.
