The Lady, The Shooter and The Servant Q and A
The moment the words came out of Damon’s mouth of their party was now in the presence of THE Lady of the Abyss; Stark seemed to freeze for a fraction for a second before her eyes rounded and her whole body seemed to buzz with excitement. The hidden smile barely being bitten back on her lips would be almost entertaining to any who actually paid some form of attention to the Jasian. The excitement seemed to only intensify as Ambrosia had drifted towards her and spoken to her about her studies. Stark could have died right then and there and been perfectly fine. A Divine knew her name. She knew her name. Perhaps to some it might have been something that simply made sense for an all knowing being to have in their knowledge but to the young girl it meant the world. While Alice simply seemed stunned and even a tad embarrassed as she averted her eyes and allowed the soft smile to accompany her blushing cheeks, her young companion seemed to just still be processing what just happened. It would only dawn on her at a later time that she had simply sat there with her mouth agape and not given her thanks to the Divine- something that made her ears turn red and her heart beat hard. ”I didn’t say thank you!” She harshly whispered to her ever vigilant elder. Alice’s brows came together in mild confusion before staring directly at the water mage. After a moment a smile broke out on her lips while her hand gently grabbed Stark’s and she began to pull her towards the Divine. ”So say it now.” Alice practically shoved Stark forward towards the purple woman with a snicker while Stark gave a mildly surprised sound. She fixed herself immediately upon the realization that it was an idol of hers standing, well floating, in front of her. The words came out a tad louder than she’d intended, ”T-thank you Miss Lady of the Abyss ma’me!” She was shaking with both excitement and anxiety as her silvery eyes stared in awe at the gorgeous woman. With a dazzling smile the Divine woman turned to look at Stark, floating down just a little so that their heads were at the same height. ”Oh, but of course my dear little Stark! Good work deserves good praise, so there’s no need to thank me for it! I am quite proud of what you’re becoming, you know, and just how hard you’re working to get there!” Alice suppressed a chuckle as she watched the exchange; Stark’s skin tinted red as a massive toothy smile exposed her odd teeth but also her sheer happiness. She found herself doing something of an odd cross between a curtsey and a bow before standing up and almost bouncing on her toes. ”T-thank you M’ambrosia-er- uh, I’m so sorry! I meant to say Miss Ambrosia but I also wanted to say Ma’me and I’m so sorry!” The embarrassment was there and caused her to keep rattling on. ”Um- Mister Dubois said that you traveled around Barcea and that you are the patron there! Is there a reason for that? I mean I know I love it there and I wanna make it a home, maybe one day, but why do you do that? Why do you wear purple? What kind of pow-” Her words were cut short by Alice’s hand clamping down over her lips. ”Excuse her. She is a bit excited to meet you.” Alice received the same beam that Ambrosia did, the Divine nodding. ”Oh, don’t worry, I completely understand. Just a moment, please!” With that the Divine looked back to Stark, before beginning to say, ”I’m the patron of Barcea simply because I love the people and the landscape, the culture and their ideals, especially now! And purple is my favorite color, of course!” With the completed questions answered the Divine then looked back to Alice, before asking, ”And you, my dear?” Alice’s hand dropped as the attention was turned to her and the chance to ask a question or two was presented before her. Quite a few of the questions flew threw her brain before true ones stuck out. ”I’m not sure if I should ask this but I’m not going to get the chance to as a real Divine this…” She sucked in a slow breath before squaring her shoulders and asking, ”What happened in the West? It’s my home and I haven’t been to get much of any kind of information from anyone. Is it safe to return?” Ambrosia’s smile became a little more gentle, before she gave a shake of her head. ”My dear, if you leave Barcea now you leave many people in an unsafe position. I need you here, as do those in your party. So, please, just stay here for now, and focus on the East rather than the West.” The air seemed to leak out of the woman as the Divine answered her. She took a long moment to swallow back the knot in her throat with a forced smile, ”I’m simply a gunner but I think you for thinking so highly of me. Truly, thank you.” She took a shaky breath before rolling her shoulders, ”I never planned on going back to the West anyways. There is nothing for me there.” The knot returned for a moment before she gave a short bow. ”Excuse me Lady Ambrosia. This is an experience I’ll remember.” Alice gave a soft smile before turning on her heel to a more private space. Stark watched her friend for a long moment before turning to Amrbrosia one last time. ”I have one last questions My Lady...Is there, well, uh…” Stark took a long breath before confidently asking, ”How does one become a Champion of a Divine?” At that final question Ambrosia blinked in surprise, before the same energy from before came back to that smile of hers as she perked up some. ”Oh, well, that’s quite simple actually! All you have to do is simply be picked by a Divine! That’s all there is to it!” Blink. There seemed to be a bit of a delay as Stark’s brain processed the words the woman spoke. ”Simple...yeah…” She spoke quietly under her breath before giving a deep bow to the woman. ”Thank-thank you so much for speaking to me Lady Nocte. Truely you have no idea what this means to have been able to meet you.” She stood with her hands folded in front of her and a softer smile on her lips. ”Oh, I think I do know!” The Divine said, before giggling slightly. ”I look forward to seeing you again, my dear!”
