Not pure blackness, but enough for her to only see the shapes of objects and not their distinct detail. Her body ached, while Aisling laid curled on a bed she knew was not her's. For one, if she wasn't in an almost fetal position, her legs would be hanging off the bed - this was surely not a king-sized soft cloud that made one sink in and never want to leave. On the contrary, the bed was far too firm and she knew she would ache for the rest of the day. Knowing her, she probably did have a blanket on at some point, but she got too hot and kicked it off the bed. Her head pounded as she tried to think of the moments before she faded. Alex and Adi... we were dancing and then we left... after stealing alcohol. Alex, that bastard, left me to see someone else... and then... and then.. what happened? Ash could not remember anything after that for the life of her. She needed aspirin and water. Oh god, I hope I didn't make a royal mistake. How am I going to explain this to Lucas? Her eyes widened with the thought of her fiance, "Shit." she muttered and tried to find her phone around her and on the mattress. As she searched for her purse or phone or really anything that belonged to her while she was still in bed, Ash came to the daunting realization that she was no longer wearing her dress. All she was wearing was her black lingerie slip she wore under it. I-I didn't, did I? Her world was still relatively tipsy, but she feared she may have made the biggest mistake of her life. Hurriedly, she stood up only to stub her toe on a sofa that was stupidly close to the bed. Silently, she cursed, "Fucking-shit." Using her right hand to feel her way around so she wouldn't hurt herself, she allowed it to trail up a plush blanket and before she realized a body was under it, her gentle hand was already touching a well built man's chest. Luckily, he had a t-shirt on, but that didn't stop her cheeks leaking red in embarrassment, as she abruptly pulled away. Jumping back slightly, only to hit a table, Ash raged internally. WHY THE FUCK IS THIS PLACE SO SMALL?! Turning to the table, she knelt down and felt what was on it. Her eyes lit up when she found her glorious purse. Grabbing a hold of it, she stood up and tiptoed out of the bedroom. Well, it took a bit and required her to touch around but eventually she was in the hallway. Quietly closing the door behind her, she sighed in relief when she felt a switch outside the door, which turned on the hallway light. Switching it on, she saw the kitchen, living room, and bathroom from where she was standing. Small place indeed. Making her way to the kitchen, truly needing some water, Ash contemplated her options: I can make this a hit and run situation... or I can respect the guy and apologize for whatever we shared. If only she could remember if he was good or not. Stop. You're engaged. She roamed around the stranger's apartment, wondering to herself, My dress is in the bedroom...isn't it? At this point, she was accepting her inevitable doom for an awkward conversation with a man she possibly fucked. Though, it was rather curious that he slept on a couch and not beside her. Did I push him off? Honestly, that wasn't something unlikely - so for now, she would go with that theory. After getting herself a glass of tap water, Ash dug in her purse to check to see if Lucas had texted or called her. No calls. But she did receive one text: Hey babe, landed. I'm actually tired as hell so I'll call you in the morning. Hope you're having a blast! Miss you xoxo. Your Lu. The guilt in her built up even more after reading the text. Tossing her phone back in her purse, she decided to deal with that issue later. With her glass of water in hand, she looked around the apartment. This place needs a good... cleaning. She glanced over the food (like cereal bowls and a pizza box), clothes (most definitely unclean), and papers (bills? letters?) and became a little intrigued with who her one night stand might be. He was surely not a man her mother would be proud about, that's for sure. Taking a sip of her water (and leaving her purse on the counter), she made her way into the living room. Once she found the lamp, she nonchalantly turned it on and scanned her surroundings, attempting to get some personal information on her one time lover. Cute couches, at least. Man, his mother sure didn't teach him how to-- Frozen in position, her attention was brought to an item above the TV. Intensely staring at it, almost completely stunned, Ash hopelessly thought, No. That can't be-- Her brown orbs could not look away from a red skateboard. Ash could never forget something like that. The face of the person she knew, who once owned that prized item, flashed in her mind like a montage: All his loud arrivals at Camp Liberty Orientation, his calling of her name: "AAAAASSSSHHHHH!!!!!!", when he "nailed it" (but in reality busted his face in front of her), his constant promise to romance the fuck out of her, his confidence in knowing he'd win the race, his temper, god that temper, him actually listening to her when he was about to hurt Adi, their first kiss, that...first kiss... and so much more. In full doubt, her free hand went up and covered her lips, her eyes grew teary with rushing emotions. She couldn't believe it. She wouldn't believe. It's just coincidental. Why-why would he be here? Aisling Hawthorne was in such a state of disbelief that she needed to just get her things and go. Keeping a tight grip on the glass in her hand, she made her way to the bedroom door. Her heart racing. Why was she so nervous? Please, be wrong. Please, be wrong. Please, be wrong. The door steadily creaked open, letting light shine in. Getting a better glimpse of the belongings lying around on the floor of the bedroom, her stare gingerly made it's way to the couch, where she saw... dirty blonde hair. Oh, god. No longer able to contain the emotions in her, she searched for the light switch and flicked it on - letting it blind both her and... Ash was staring down at Jackson Torvald Drake. The surprise in her face was completely readable for someone who was known for hiding her emotions well. Before he could comprehend anything, she impulsively splashed water in his face, emptying out the entire cup, "Why the fuck are you here!?" Putting (slamming) her cup down on the cheap table, Ash frantically looked around for her red dress, "Why-why am I here?" The Ash that loved having control over her life had no idea how she got in this situation and was literally freaking out. No, she was not thinking she was in her black slip, nor was she thinking about how much she actually did miss him. The guilt of possibly sleeping with [s]her[/s] the boy she had once harbored feelings for, behind her fiance's back, and not even remembering how she even got in this position... Finding her dress hanging on the window seal, high up, she growled and tried to reach for it, ending up standing on the bed and pulling the hanger off aggressively. By the time she dropped off the mattress and turned around...
