Because in his personality it says that he doesn't want "to be an annoyance" maybe he wasn't raised by his biological parents? Maybe he has deadbeat parents and lives with his grandparents or aunt or something and he constantly felt like an annoyance to them while growing up because they had an extra mouth to feed and all that.
