Has anyone else noticed Beacon has REALLY shit security? 

Cinder's lot are just able to blend in easily, no-one questions why a very womanly person like Cinder is a student and they're not even checked or anything. Cinder's just able to hack EVERYTHING by getting to one terminal and no-one ever notices the fights for the Vytal festival getting rigged or anything, not to mention hacking every Atlas soldier together which implies they share a central server, which is a hillarious design flaw.

Aaaaand they have no system in place for spotting semblance usage during the Vytal festival? No-one's even considered that people may use semblances to cheat before? It's just never happened? And nobody at all noticed Mercury's tin legs? No medical examinations before the festival or body scanners? 

Don't even get me started on the dragon that was LITERALLY ON BEACON'S DOORSTEP AND NO-ONE DID ANYTHING ABOUT IT ALL THIS TIME.

...well, at least we still have Neo. Far more entertaining villain than Cinder.

This is actually part of why I wanted to do an AU, since I don't want to try to follow Cinder's plan through or do most of the dumb stuff that happens in Season 3. I'm just hoping what I have in store seems more credible to you guys.
