Zyrid the Amiable
"Now - Universe, my old friend, what have you got for me today?"

An old man of ragged appearance, long hair sprouting from every pore of opportunity. His white eyes contrast his mildly tanned skin and his thick bushy eyebrows push forward, as far out as his arched nose. A loose linen shirt hangs from his surprisingly lean body, no particular color dyed into the material. A long red gown of silk rolls down around his body down to his knobbly ankles, wrapping around his thin legs. More often than not this gown will serve as a soft chair for Zyrid to sit upon as he explores the material planes, or when he delves into the vast banks of knowledge his library provides. Age: Unknown and likely not quantifiable. Gender: Male the majority of the time. Rich or Poor?: Zyrid has no need for material objects. Power Descriptions: Zyrid, first and foremost, has the power to control his mimic transport. The mimic has the potential to become almost any object or creature that Zyrid should choose - though he has made a polite agreement with the Material Gods not to disrupt their creations in a superabundant manner. Secondly Zyrid has the power of suggestion and mischief. His vessel in the material word, the crystal ring of Lokei (God of Mischief) gives him the ability to charm, persuade and otherwise control lesser beings. However, Zyrid is a reasonable sort and has for a time as long as his memory can stretch, disabled the control feature. Furthermore Zyrid has a knowledge that rivals even the most omnipresent of Gods, as his fast library is forever growing with information from every plane, in every existence. The downside of course is that it takes Zyrid a while longer to read and understand the information given than it does for some other powers, though for a being of his potency he believes he does well enough. Lastly, Zyrid is an excellent spell caster, despite his lack of formal training, as he is inherently bestowed with these abilities. The spells that Zyrid can cast vary from Tickling Tongue to Quaking Growth and higher on the scale of destructive but also creative power, his entourage of casting potential not nearly as large as his collection of books, but humble enough to be impressive. Skills: Zyrid is a keen reader and practitioner of countless art forms and physical teachings of combat, peace and coordination. Though his body appears old and rigid, his form remains this way only to sate his desire for entertainment - like his mimic transport, he too can alter his form at will. Zyrid can read surface thoughts of those with moderate and lesser will, though he struggles to do so when the thoughts come from an nonintellectual brain. There are no particular words or images that come forth, simply impressions of an emotion or motivation of some kind, a variation of numbs and stimulating waves of thought that he has learned to distinguish between. Personality: Zyrid is an experimenter and entertainer, in the most self indulgent way. He loves nothing more than impacting in the material plane and the occasionally more abstract areas of existence. This is often completed with his lack of foresight when considering consequences, as his actions are mostly either very instinctual or undergone after deep thought. Despite this Zyrid has a depth of empathy and understanding that comes to only a few forces of life in any given version of reality, of which he is very proud. Zyrid chuckles to his own jokes a disturbing amount, often only to himself. He finds this helps him preserve what some would call sanity, though he calls it a 'healthy presence of ones self'. Biography: Zyrid was once a mortal being, great and powerful in some form. This memory has long past his mind and likely those of the Gods too, as his existence is now one of eternal servitude to the shimmering, immovable, expansive and exceedingly beautiful thing that is the Universe - his oldest friend. Some forms that Zyrid has taken in the past, depending on his mood or interest in a particular subject have ranged from master assassin to weary old fruit vendor and even orphan children. Though Zyrid finds that it is easier to exist when you are static and observing rather than being operational and observed. Likes: Life, change, impacting on existence & reading. Dislikes: Boredom, Godly lectures, family meetings & excessive reading. Fears: Eels, as they make no sense when you consider everything. Weaknesses: Trapped within a ring while in the material plane, granting immunity to most afflictions. Without the ring as protection, Zyrid only possesses his innate spells and his unbound knowledge. Other: WARNING Do not under any circumstances bring up Zyrid's brother Welth WARNING Theme Song: "Under an old tree"
