[b]Background:[/b] Once a happy-go-lucky boy living in a cabin in the woods, Phineas met his end when he fell into a frozen lake. With his family unable to retrieve his body for a proper burial, he was cursed to wander the woods as a ghost. Centuries passed in his monotonous haunting. It seemed that he would remain that way for eternity. That is, until he came upon a young witch named Mara. The two struck up an unusual friendship, and it was from her that he learned of the Academy. Desperate, he pleaded to join her, eventually making his way to his new home.

•Phineas is able to disappear and reappear at will. He usually does the former when he's shy, sad, or embarrassed.
•He is also able to phase through people and objects. However, doing so to people causes a weird sensation and them to turn cold.[/hider]

[b]Background:[/b] Mara was raised amongst a family of powerful witches. The youngest of five siblings, all skilled in various crafts, much was expected of Mara. Unfortunately, she was a bit of a late bloomer. Her powers didn't show until she was thirteen, and even then they were wild and uncontrollable. Over the years, Mara struggled to control her powers and catch up with her family, to no avail. As a last resort, her family sent her away to the Academy. On the way, she became across a ghost named Phineas and together the two ended up at the Academy.

•While Mara struggles with spells, she's quite skilled in potions. Experimenting with such volatile ingredients, however, have yielded some...explosive...results.[/hider]
