[indent]Daniyal just wants to do good. his timid nature is just a product from his being scared to disappoint. However, he still is very curious and loves to just know stuff, about people or trivia. His constant paranoia extends beyond being afraid of what goes [i]bump[/i] in the night, what people think of his scare his more than any killer could. Daniyal is also very reclusive, deciding that if he was just quiet and passive, there would be no chance he could screw up. He was the typical quiet, smart kid at the back of the class, just with the exception that he showers. Furthermore, with his lips constantly kept shut, a lot of his emotions go bottled up with no way to let them out. He can be [i]very, very[/i] patient, but when pushed too far, he isn't afraid to lash out and attack, both verbally and physically.
When mad, Daniyal is easily irritable. Snapping and lashing out at anyone who dares anger his in this state. An overflow of bottled up emotions explode, affecting everyone within earshot of his. Keeping so many emotions at bay is bound to explode if never expressed. But after the dust has settled, and Daniyal has cooled down, his pessimistic and mean side seems to completely vanish as he becomes very apologetic afterwards. But not always, he usually holds a massive and silent grudge against the person who agitated his, and ready to lash out again the second they even think about pestering his again. Though, he always feels disappointed in himself for lashing out.
However, Daniyal does have a "nice" side. He is incredibly sympathetic, and able to help people cope, heal and move on. All the hardships he went through helps him understand others a little more. Daniyal is also a very smart young man, able to plan, learn, and think faster and better than others, taking bits and pieces from his school life to incorporate into his real life. Paying attention in AP English made his a cunning linguist, allowing his to talk himself out of confrontations. And also with a bucket-load of puns, despite his shy and quiet nature, he always loves a bit of humour and laughs. Years of projects, and science has helped him develop a critical mind, that is if he's calm. A panic can make anyone act spastic. His skills are complemented, but yet, no matter what, he never feels good enough. Daniyal does try to stay positive whenever he can, he's almost an optimist. And if he isn't feeling all too chipper about a situation, he still does try to lighten the load on others.[/indent]

[indent]Daniyal didn't have the most glamorous of lives. But it was full of adventure. His family were constant movers, changing homes from country to country trying to find him the best life. From Iran, to the Dubai, to the Western World. Daniyal has seen it all, and was a generally happy kid. 
With all the changing of his homes, and the constant needs of money, Daniyal grew up alone as his mother would be too busy with work to spend too much time with him. Daniyal was a smart kid however, picking up languages and skills from the different cultures he's been too, an A/B student all his life, but he grew up quite. Reclusive, bottling up emotions and pains if it meant lightening the load on his single mother. His soft, quite voice infuriating anyone who tried to listen to him, causing him to fall deeper into his self-conscious silence he'll always struggle with.
Approaching his teen years, with the all these new emotions, hormones, and general unpleasantness. Daniyal became more moody, his out bursts getting wilder, and his faith in his religion that gave him so much hope was lapsing. Everything seemed hopeless at that point, the glue that held mother and son together was falling apart, what Daniyal needed the most was a hobby. Writing was all well and good, but not until he starts selling those books, it wouldn't do any good. 
With what little faith he had remained in the supernatural, Daniyal snapped and was desperate. He tried seeking the help of the Devil. If it really was all fake, it wouldn't hurt to try. Right? 
He looked up what he could, pouring himself over blogs, and text, and tomes. The more he read, the more he sort of detached himself from the idea of satanism, or Wicca, and he drew closer to a new concept he found. Witchcraft. Not Wicca, just witchcraft. It was what it sounded like, a [i]craft[/i]. There was no giving yourself up to the Devil, no compulsory pact making, it was like art. Witches didn't make magic, they made art. With nature, and their bodies, and energy, witches brought into the world what neither devils or angels could. 
Witches weren't occultists or priests, no devotion to a single or multiple Gods. Witches were just artists, rebellious artists. But even with the all the talk of rebelling against stereotypes and breaking the mould, Daniyal still practised in secret, he'd be in the closet forever (for more than one secret). Sprinkling salt and pepper in his mother's shoes, sewing runes into their clothes, or burning a little Basil or Bay leaves for luck. And soon, it all worked, their lives greatly improved. They moved, again, into a homey one bedroom house in the "Land of Freedom" looking for another chance, promotions and opportunities sprung up wherever they went. Daniyal's mother thanked God, but Daniyal was just happy to see his mother smile. [/indent]

[indent]After having just recently moved, for the fifth time, into a new country. Daniyal's mother was headstrong into finally settling down here, and for good. She heard many success stories of people who moved into America, and was hoping to find the best life here. With her impressive travel experiences, immigrating was quick and easy, and Daniyal was just as giddy as he mother to move. To finally escape dispute between countries, and once narrowly escaping war, they both were sure they'd be lucky again. True, stories of constant earthquakes, and strange sightings were popping up here and there, but they were sure they were far enough from where it was happening.
They didn't let the slowly increasing natural disasters bother them, Daniyal was cooped [i]safely[/i] in his room anyway, nothing could hurt them. Or so they thought. After letting the constant luck get into their heads, they became careless. Daniyal's mother relying on a guardian angel she believed followed her everywhere, and Daniyal himself putting too much faith in basil. He was once humble with his new found powers, but now get reckless, payments were due to the spirits and he was becoming unreliable. His new found confidence won't be of much use when he had angered beings on his tail. A curse on him was inevitable.
They became the epicentre of the chaos brought down upon the world, homes destroyed, jobs lost, preachers asking you to repent. Daniyal's mother managed to escape, which was of no matter, Daniyal was the one the spirits were focused on. The chaos wasn't caused by Daniyal, he was just dragged into it. Tetering so close to fall into depression, Daniyal lost all his confidence, constantly worrying about where his mother may be as he tried to escape, only to be dragged right back into chaos once again.[/indent]
