"Isn't there no such thing as bad publicity, though? Maybe you'll be even more famous now," she teased, quickly going into a far better mood. However, before they could head up, one of the boys in blue showed up. They quickly took Riley's statement, and Cecily flashed her little plastic forensics badge at them. She'd be filing paperwork later that would include her statement. The pair of them headed into the apartment building and up the stairs, with Riley unlocking their apartment. "So i'm guessing that you are going to have to head into work again or something?" She shook her head. "Wallace dismissed me. I probably won't be assigned to this case, conflict of interest and all," she explained. "But... I will need to go and submit my photographs of the scene, video, findings, and I'll likely do a sketch as well." She laughed a bit, locking the apartment door behind them. Even when she wasn't working, her mind was constantly on work. And of course, she wanted to make things easier for whoever ended up taking the lead on the forensic investigation of this case. She had photographs of the scene before Wallace tampered with things--it would be an invaluable help for them. Not to mention she enjoyed doing crime scene sketches, even if her drawing of a corpse looked like it was done by a pre-schooler on a sugar high. "Do you want one?" Riley asked, as she grabbed a beer from the fridge. Usually, Cecily didn't go for beers. They tasted... well, they tasked like alcohol. She tended to go for things so incredibly sweet you didn't even notice the alcohol content. "I'm a light weight, but sure," Cecily said with a smile. Taking the offered beer, she went over to the couch, making room for Riley to sit next to her. She didn't know how her roommate reacted to Danica's death. For all she knew, she'd need someone to talk to. And if there was anything Cecily was good at doing, it was talking about dead people. "We can talk or watch a movie or whatever if you like," Cecily offered.
