Off the top of my head, Some organization (Likely the Blue Suns, Eclipse, or Blood Pack given where we are. Maybe even a gang or organization we make up, just to play it safe with plotlines) is owed by the Borealis. Maybe the former captain, maybe we weren't cautious enough in where we spent our money. Regardless, we have to repay them by doing jobs around for them, ranging from extermination to extraction to intelligence gathering.

As soon as Derv's comes  back, we say we've paid of the debt and continue the course.
