Name: Jack McDonough Race: Human Age: 32 Appearance:

McDonough was always a skinny boy, and as he aged that never changed. His face was youthful and cheerful, but after the war there was always a hint of weariness in his eyes, and over the years his features have become scarred and burned courtesy of his hellish friends from the other-side. His curly hair is kept trimmed and tamed, as to present himself professionally. A simple grey suit is his usual uniform. Personality: There isn't much of one left, but what little personality McDonough does have left is kept alive by a dark sense of humor and an affinity for the opera. The practices that come along with being a conjurer, warlock or necromancer are often malevolent and wicked in nature. Overtime such practices eat away at the soul of a mere mortal, and transform them into mere shells of their former selves. He isn't violent or brutish, but polite and even at times kind, however behind every interaction there is still the shadow of his profession, his dark habitations. Bio: “People came back from the war different. No one wanted to admit it, and no one said anything about it. Most just carried on, happy to be back, to be treated like heroes. That’s not the truth though. Most of us didn’t actually come back, not really anyways. The way I see it, most of us died over there. Some, like myself, we got so caught up in fighting those monstrosities that we too ourselves became monsters. Maybe that’s what they wanted, maybe they wanted us to taste what true power really was. Maybe that’s how they got us.” Along with millions of other young American men, Jack McDonough was drafted during WWII to fight against the Nazi war machine. Alongside the 1st Ranger Battalion McDonough fought in Africa and Italy against the Germans and it was there that he witnessed the Nazi’s abuse of demonic and occult forces. Seeing the power and force that the dark magics were capable of triggered something in McDonough, and from the moment he returned back he was obsessed the hellish and demonic forces, but knowing full well the backlash it would create after the war, he kept his quest for knowledge a secret. Estranged from his family, first came the minor enchantments and hexes, his first failures causing damage to his once good looks, but with practice and study it wasn’t long before necromancy and demonic sacrifice were on the table. McDonough, a true son of the American capitalist society knew exactly where to take these practices after the war. He started selling them to the highest bidder. He started in Philadelphia, whether it was using dark magic to help criminal enterprises or even using demonic sacrifice in order to facilitate corporate takeover, McDonough found that there was a place in the new post-war American society for the occult. He tried to stay away from the most sinister of these forces, as they tended to require certain practices and sacrifices that were even too horrifying for himself to stomach. For a time he prospered, however because of it's particularly heinous nature it wasn't long before the 'dark arts' he was performing got him in over his head and forced him to leave everything behind. “Santa Somabra… I’ve been to war. I thought I’d been as close to hell as I ever would. I was wrong.” Other: At the start of the RP he is most probably residing in a cheap motel on the outskirts of the city.
