Blow after blow struck the stone wall that Iyl was holding up with her mind. As the Shae struck the structure, the mage could feel it as though it was striking her to a much less powerful degree. It still hurt. 

With her eyes closed she couldn't exactly see what Lacain was doing, but she could feel his mana as he wove it into a new spell and sent it in the direction of the Shae that were surrounding them from within the trees. The screams that echoed through her mind caused her to wince slightly. They really didn't like whatever it was he had just done.

When Lacain's hand touched her shoulder, her eyes opened wide in surprise as he shared his energy with her. She could feel every ounce of the newly gifted power as it poured over her body, and had he been able to face her, Lacain would have seen her eyes glowing brightly. There would be no mistaking the power she was housing. Teraem was there. He was with Lacain. And now, he was with her. 

A smile formed on her lips, and the ghost of a laugh could be heard between the two mages as her right hand outstretched to her side, two fingers pointed toward the trees.
