For a moment, the mage glanced at her friend, a look of gratitude for what he had imbued her summon with before she closed her eyes and began a new spell. Iylma'tria's arms stretched out to her sides, and the golden light that had surrounded everything else she'd called forth began to envelope her body. After a few moments passed, she began to rise into the air and the golden light began to move from her full form toward her back where it formed two large protrusions before shattering once again to reveal large feathered wings that beat down the air to keep her afloat. At the same time the wings formed, a spear of gold and silver appeared in her hand, its length twice the size of her height. For a moment she smiled down at Lacain her eyes glowing brighter than ever, just before her wings propelled her forward and out of the barriers and toward the giant Shae. The creature, still reeling from the damage that Asrin had dealt was unprepared for the female mage who, using the force of her speed, drove the spear through its chest eliciting a loud and pain-filled roar as he began to lose his shape. She had successfully ended the male Shae's life, but the victory was a hollow one as she flew back within the protection of the barriers, narrowly avoiding several spells hurled at her from the female Shae. The spear, which had still been lodged in the disintegrating male Shae shattered into golden light when it hit the ground, followed swiftly after by her newly formed wings as her feet safely met the ground, her eyes closed. She'd done her part, at least for the moment.
