[@Yuritopia] Magic -was- a thing, but all the great mages have long since perished and the secrets of the arcane lie buried beneath a thick layer of sand. Who knows? Maybe you'll find something in one of the old cities.
You could always be someone trying to rediscover the secrets of magic though. But the Tribes in general rely more on the secret tech, then some old arcane tomes nearly nobody can read anymore. But you're free to do something with that if you want.
