He commanded it to pick the heroes up with psychic and go "there" Metagross did as instructed and carried the heroes to a far off island. When they arrived, Steven said that he wanted some extra eyes while he looked for something on the island. Liam heard footsteps and turned around to see three members of Team Aqua, one of which was Admin Matt. Matt didn't bat an eye at seeing three reputable trainers on the island, while his grunts were unnerved. Matt ordered them to get out of the way, and that they needed what the island held to further their plan.
