[indent]Jar stands at a lanky 6 feet 1 inch and is fairly thin. His vegetarian diet and love for morning runs keeps him fit and trim, but nowhere near beefcake muscular. Notable facial features include high cheekbones, a sharp jawline, and warm, honey colored eyes that border on hazel in some lighting. The longest locks of Jar’s hair brush his collarbone, while the rest is cut into shorter ‘emo’ fringe that frames his face. 

Jareth currently only has a few tattoos, including a patch of hearts on his stomach near his right hip bone that he got when he was seventeen and plans on covering up someday because they look like absolute shit, a blue pacman-like ghost with a heart speech bubble on his inner right bicep, and a red star-like shape on his inner right wrist. These are just the first of many tattoos in Jar’s mind, he plans on having full sleeves and then some someday. As far as piercings go, Jar has 2g gauges in both ears and a piercing on the right side of his lip. The lip ring started as snake bites when he was sixteen, but he has since removed the left in favor of an asymmetrical aesthetic - hence the right side positioning of all of his tattoos. His clothing style consists of band t-shirts, brightly colored and random screen tees, the occasional plaid button-up, super tight skinnies jeans and Toms or Vans. And, yes, he occasionally wears guyliner.[/indent]

[indent]It is easy to look at someone like Jareth and think that you know what they are like. At face value, he might look like some burnout stereotype, and in some ways he is. Jareth has never excelled in school, he scrapes by with average C grades and the occasionally B if he finds the subject interesting enough. He smokes a lot of pot and is no stranger to the party animal crowd. Jareth’s looks and flirtatious nature hook him a lot of female attention, but his twin fear of commitment and, ultimately, abandonment keep him from ever getting too attached. 

While Jareth isn’t ashamed to indulge in carnal desires, he isn’t totally hopeless. His passion for music overcomes everything else in his life. CrimSon, and his bandmates Jessie, Eric and Kyle are his life. Jareth’s ultimate life goal is to chase this passion into stardom and he is well aware of the level of work and dedication that might take. It will be worth it.[/indent][hr]

[indent]Jareth was born to a drug addict groupie and some mystery musician. His teenage birth mother gave him up for adoption immediately upon giving birth and, to this day, he hasn’t actually met her. It wasn’t one of those happy adoptions either, as his first set of ‘parents’ didn’t work out and, as such, he wound up in the foster care system. This lack of unconditionally love and stability lead to behavior problems throughout his childhood, which made finding a forever home all the more difficult. Jareth bounced from home to home - some families were too soft and kind to handle a ‘city kid’, and others were just plain abusive. 

When Brian and Charlotte McKinney stepped foot in the foster home, Jar had met his match. The ruthless politician and bombshell model saw the potential in young Jareth immediately. Their decision to foster Jar 6 years ago was a loveless one. This was a political and social move… he was a trophy to be put on their mantle and display what [i]good[/i] people they were, taking in a troubled preteen like that. Because of this, they were just hard enough to handle Jareth’s behaviors, putting up with his outbursts and rebellion because they saw the ends to justify the means.

In time, Jareth grew out of the violence and accepted that this was the way things would be from now on. For better or for worse, he had found his forever home. The stability of the McKinney household allowed him to explore his love of music. The McKinney’s certainly didn’t hurt for money and, when he was 15, they bought him an Ibanez guitar and sound equipment to play around with in his ‘little’ garage band that is now known as CrimSon. Of course, they aren’t supportive of this hobby as a career goal, but Jareth doesn’t give two shits about their opinion. 

Nowadays, Jar can be found picking petty fights with his foster parents just to instigate. Jareth’s teenage rebellion has become more peaceful and secretive than his violent childhood, including things like sneaking out to hook up with girls, smoke pot, and attend parties, not necessarily in that order.
