With an appearance that most would call something along the lines of “broody” and “alluring”, it gives others’ head-scratching responses when they try to put it together(the it of how he acts versus how he looks). They don’t understand how someone who has such a tall form with a respectable, equal weight ratio could be so asocial. He’s an enigma for sure, especially with given the fact that he has quite beautiful green eyes, and that light brown hair that could only be described as a bed of hazelnut fluff that everyone just wants to take a nap in. Something that should be noted about the total makeup of Dante’s physical build is that he is somewhere in sweet spot between lean and muscular. It’s evident that his center/abdomens have an obvious lean, yet toned, His legs and arms aren’t nearly as built as his entire torso/back areas. While the arms and legs are most certainly not without their own fair share of muscle mass, they simply don’t have as much as his back/torso; like with his height at just barely one inch before six feet and height at one-seventy-five pounds, how else would you expect his body to look like?
A T T I R E
In all honesty, it’s not that hard to describe Dante’s fashion sense. It’s mainly consisting of clothes that are dark in color, usually those dark greys and blacks. He wears a lot of loose, and baggy clothing that cover his body most of the time. This is including but not limited to — long-sleave shirts, jeans, jackets, regular t-shirts, various nerdom memorabilia. The type of shoes he’s seen wearing are usually the same color as his shirts and jeans, which are dark in color. Some often call him a vampire due to all of teh dark clothing he likes to wear. He simply shrugs at it and tries not to let it bother him.
      O D D I T I E S | Q U I R K S | H A B I T S

Taking too long to respond when spoken to
Staring out into the unknown too often. He is alive in the walking, mortal life, but in his own mind, in the nine depths that make up this man, he is dead. For all intents and purposes, Dante Belmont views as himself being dead. So many tragic things happened in his short life span - the death of his mother, of his friends, of any who cross paths with him - and it took its toll on this man. Each and every scar that came from his life experiences toppled on top of each other until the point where he couldn’t take it anymore. Zombified in the metaphorical sense, Dante Belmont merely walks to keep those around him from suspecting anything else being at play. While the truths of his life is mainly kept a secret, that does not mean that Dante isn’t able to interact with the other members of his species. To avoid any unwanted conversation, Dante feigns a humbleness that is welcoming. Fake smiles, fake positivity - fake everything; and he’s pretty skilled at it too. Being able to make those that he interacts with not suspect his inner-turmoils truly takes some kind of manipulative talent. Of course, he’s not the kind of manipulative person that those of the Aphrodite linage are, but he is able to work people quite well in the way that they don’t ever suspect what the truth under those fake smiles, those greetings of an inviting - though not too inviting - nature that show he is able to say hello without seeming too out of place. Like a wallflower he is, you hardly notice Dante. Yes, despite his obviously noticeable figure and appearance, Dante goes unnoticed, which makes it perfect for him to observe his surroundings. More importantly, he is well aware of what goes around him. This is what becomes of someone that normally doesn’t partake in those regular social conventions that the masses do. He avoids social interaction if it can be helped, which usually after the first or two exchanges of introductory greetings, he slips away like the antisocial snake that he is. After that, he simply observes. Dante takes in those interactions by his peers. He takes in the faces, the names, the way each are with their friends, their families, and the staff.
B I O G R A P H Y
Monsters come in all shape and sizes. Some say they come from the ground beneath us. Some would argue that they are those we keep in close proximity. Some even say that the true monsters is the darkness that everyone had within themselves. Whichever side you are on, it can’t be denied that these monsters are real. They are not only real, but they are terrifying, striking the fear of the Gods into even the strongest of men and woman. These monsters of legend - the ones that take all of the life out someone to only do away with them when they’re done with them - are the worst. They are the ones you know about, but still don’t see coming. And the worst of them was his mother’s family. Truth be told, if you were to ask if he knew what his mother’s family was like, he wouldn’t be able to tell you because he didn’t know any of them. He wasn’t born in the town they lived in, Hell’s Paradise, Texas. His mother was, his maternal grandfather, and everyone else from her side of the family, but not him. Dante was born in - well, we’ll get to that. First the reasons why he was born where he was must be explained, and who his mother was. Dante’s mother has often been described as an unplain beauty by his father - and everyone else in the Underworld. Gifted with skin as white as pearl, hair as scarlett as ruby, and eyes as green as emerald, it always made no sense to anyone how one of the most beautiful women to ever exist came from such a backwater town, such a horrible environment that was Hell’s Paradise, and how she almost died if not for the intervention of Hades. How could someone as captivating as her be the daughter of the head of a False Hades Cult? It made no sense. Anyone would agree that, when Hades not only caught wind of this cult and what they were doing in his name, he took it upon himself to visit the surface world, and go to this place. What he went there originally for and what eventually made him stay for was not the same thing. Hades went there to put an end to this cult, but was captivated by this woman. Her eyes sparkled in the rays of the Texas sunshine, and her hair was enhanced by it too. The name her father gave her was a shocker considering how depraved the entire town she was in was. Lenore Isabelle Belmont. An angelic name for an angelic beauty. Hades found himself captivated by her. The Greek God of the Underworld, the Greek God of Riches, Sure, at first, her beauty caught his attention, but it was her surprising fiery spirit that hooked him in. He forgot about the cult for a few weeks. He spent them with her, worming his into her own affection like she did to his. Hades often told Dante about how he met his mother, and there was one time when his Grandfather, Lenore’s father, nearly killed her when she found out about Hades - well, his name at the time was Pater Obscurus - living with her. According to Hades, the reason was because he wasn’t “one of them”. He was an outsider, and in that kind of cult, outsiders weren’t welcome. Dante never really got the reasons behind what happened next, but something inside Hades wasn’t exactly thrilled with the tone that Thorald, Lenore’s father, was taking with him. Lenore swears what happened next didn’t happened, but based on where she ended up(The Underworld), it was very possible. Hades stood up from where he was sitting(Thorald confronted them at the kitchen table in her house), and showed her father his true form - well, one of them. It was described as a nine-foot demonic beast with hammerhead-like horns. His eyes bled fiery red, and a shadow of pitch black surrounded him. Hades never spoke anything after that. All that was hinted at was that Hades struck the fear of the God into Thorald, and he never bothered them again; however, as they say, all good things must come to an end. Hades was needed back into the Underworld, but he wouldn’t leave without at least giving Lenore a choice: she could stay in her hometown with her family or come with him, and be by his side. Though he had Persephone, asylum waited for her in the Underworld - in his kingdom. She would be safe. There was no hesitation. She accepted with glee. And so that was that. Hades took a human down with him to the Underworld, taking her as his second wife. Persephone wasn’t happy about this, but this wouldn’t be the first time that Hades took on a charity case - and she made it her mission to remind Lenore of that any chance she got. Still, that didn’t mean she hated the woman. It turned out, after Dante was conceived, and they started to talk, they had a lot of things in common. Both were unmistakingly beautiful, both were essentially kidnapped from their home, though Hades never gave Persephone a choice, and both have a rather assertive personality. And both somehow had Hades’ equal affection. That rarely happened, so it kind of made Lenore a big deal. She was also protected - and loved- by most due to her fiery personality. When she birthed Dante, it was a big moment because it was the first time that it had ever happened. A Demigod born of a Human female was done so in the Underworld. No record of that ever happening, so it even solidified that the son of Lemore Isabelle Belmont would be a big deal. When he was birthed, Hades was to name him. “Let it be known far and wide that my shall be named Dante, after the great Dante Alighieri. His second given name shall be Aides. His Surname will be taken from his mother, Belmont.” And so it was, so it shall be. Hades’ some would come to be known as Dante Aides Belmont, and for the next seven years of his life, he would spend it in the Underworld until the time came for his mother to leave. Unlike Persephone, she was free to leave. And of course, Hades would make sure she was taken care of. As the god of the Earth’s Precious minerals, he gave her incredible wealth to which she would use to settle in San Francisco, California where she would raise her son, Dante. As the years went by, Lenore often looked back on her time with Hades. He occasionally visited her over the years, and Dante loved seeing his dad each time, but it wasn’t ever like those first seven years that she had with him. Even with Persephone there, she never once thought of him cheating on her. Maybe Lenore herself was a bit messed up in that way, but she still didn’t care. She loved the man. She loved him so much that she didn’t realize what was happening to her son. Her beloved Dante was, in the mental sense, declining rapidly. It had been widely known in the Underworld that Dante Aides Belmont suffered from terrors that only the worst of demons were known to induce, but as he aged to teenhood, it became painfully obvious to Lenore that something was terribly wrong, so she did all that she could. Dante’s depression and fear of his surroundings would get worse. It wasn’t until a week later that Hades came to her, and deduced that his time in the Underworld caused this. The demons themselves were flooding his souls. That much death around him was most certainly a big influence on that. It’s was like Dante’s psyche was making it even more evident that he was the Son of Hades. He hated that his son was going through this strife because of a decision that Hades himself made. And when Hades told Lenore, she didn’t have much to say. She still didn’t regret those seven years, but she hated herself for not noticing that her ignorance to what was happening to her son. She hated it so much that she wanted to do anything to take the pain away from him, or the pain she felt inside herself. But someone would beat her to it. It happened on Dante’s thirteenth birthday. In what could only be described as the worst of accidents, Dante’s mind blacked out. The horrors he had been suffering through all these years, even after the five stints in mental hospitals after trying to kill himself, his mind had gone to that breaking point that everyone has. Not as bad as one might think, but in Dante’s case, it was the worst of all. He didn’t know what had happened until he came out of it. He last remembered eating his cake, and the next thing he saw...blood. Lots of blood, and it was all over him. He looked around, and all of the kids(eight of them), and an adult all laid on the floor. Scattered. Their heads were slashed brutally. Their eyes hanging from the sockets, parts of their flesh ripped off by force showing the fractured skulls, and blood continuing to flow out. It had just happened. On Dante’s hands was wet blood. He had done it. He killed all of them. As tragic as that was, it took a few moments for Dante to realize the adult that laid face-first on the carpet. Hair as scarlett as ruby, soaking in crimson ink, there she was. He flipped her face over, and there, with her face half-ripped off, Lenore Belmont laid dead, a sight of fear in eyes that it broke all barriers in Dante’s psyche, and a loud shriek from the teenaged Dante escaped his mouth in absolute fright. Seeing his mother’s face broke every foundation his mind had built towards the bridge of sanity. Dante Belmont was broken. And so he fled. blood -stained hands and clothes still on, he left, ran as far as he could until cops saw him. Thought they didn’t know who he was, they eventually put it together. Not every day that eight thirteen-year-old kids and a woman are murdered from the same large house that a kid was seen running from. It was unexplainable, and surely no one could understand how such a crime was committed by a kid as little as Dante at the time, let alone stand trial for it. He couldn’t even get through a single question without screaming and trying to tear his hair out. It wouldn’t be long after that when a psychiatrist was brought in to evaluate him. She didn’t need long to determine that he was suffering from extreme post-traumatic stress, and recommend he be admitted to a facility as soon as humanly possible. The boy needed it. So, he was. For the next three years, Dante went under extreme treatment. There were times when no one thought he would get better, but by some miracle, on his sixteenth birthday, he was released. He was no longer a victim of his own mind or what crimes he committed. It wasn’t long after that did he get approached by someone speaking for Hades. He gave Dante a letter, which read:
Dante, I regret I could not tell you this in person. I also apologize for not giving you this in the past three years. There have been so many thing that going on in The Underworld right now that needed my attention, so this is why you are receiving this letter. Please do not think I blame you for what happened to your mother. It was my own fault for keeping you in the Underworld for so long. That extended exposure to all of the demons and death took a toll on you that I was not aware of until it was too late. For that, I cannot apologize enough. Dante, you are my son, so it is only right that you should hear this: there is an academy for males and females like you. It is a special academy that caters to the Sons and Daughter of the Gods and Goddesses. It is called Olympus Academy. The details about it are also included in this letter on a second page. Again, I regret not being there personally. Love, Dad
When he read that letter, Dante couldn’t help but feel some bitter emotions, but his father was right. He needed to get a handle on these abilities, and make sure nothing like what happened to his mother ever happened again. So, as he made that decision, he ventured off to Utah, and would enroll himself in Olympus Academy where he would have been going for four years, with the current year being his fourth. He does have some feelings of love for his father. He was raised halfway by him and his almost-second mother Persephone. So, he can’t really hate the guy. After he left, he felt a longing to go back to the Underworld, but never could due to the rules. After what happened to his mother, Dante’s attatchment to Hades dwindled greatly. Longing turned into fear, so maybe somewhere deep down, there’s this perturbation that he has towards his father. But hate him? No, Dante doesn’t hate Hades..at least not yet..
G O D L Y A B I L I T I E S
Dante’s Nine Fears It’s strange for one’s fears to actually manifest into abilities.Usually such a thing doesn’t happen, but not everyone is the Son of Hades who was exposed to horrors no man or woman should be exposed to. Because of this, each fear got tied to his Demigod Abilities. Each of his nine fears, either individually or paired with something, represent a different aspect of his worst side. As such, each fear will have different abilities tied to his core godly parentage. Fear One: Loneliness - Power: Precognition and Clairvoyance Death is all around us. With death, there comes a possibility of loneliness - something that Dante fears. Not being able to predict when it comes multiplies the intensity of that fear tenfold. As a result, it manifested into something that will allow him to see when death comes, see how it happens, to whom it happens to, and give him a chance to perhaps stop it. This fear of loneliness, ironic to its origin, gave Dante the chance to prevent death. Only if it would solve the other fears that he has.. Fear Two: Without Love - Power: Judgement Manipulation(minimal; limited to people he can see) Here, just one fear worse than loneliness, is that of being without love. If one is without that thing that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, you become a cold, empty shell. Always watching, always judging. Because of this, because of the emptiness and coldness one would feel without love, the fear of not being love manifests itself in such a way that allows Dante to judge those around him. In his eyes, he sees names, he sees a floating ball of light that is a certain color. Each color he sees is that of sins that they may have committed either willingly or by chance. Fear Three: From Under the Earth - Powers: Demonic Earth No one likes to be buried alive, especially Dante. If he could help it, he’d stay above from underneath the Earth’s surface if at all possible, which kind of makes this an odd representation of his power. Maybe his time in the Underworld influenced him but Dante gained the ability to manipulate the earth from the deepest pits of the underworld. Everything he is able to do is on a minimal use, but all that which is included is what someone with normal earth manipulation is capable of, but only with the added flare of it being entirely dark and totally hellish. Though powerful in its own right, this is an ability that is rarely used for the simple fact that any extended use past a minute takes severe tolls on his soul, corrupting it after each time. Think of it as a slowly-approaching cobra that, you never know when, but surely will bite you, and kill instantaneously. Dante has been able to tap into some depths of it, namely raising the dead. Since this a form of Earth manipulation from the underworld, unconventional means are available, such as mild necromancy, usages of Demonic Energy Manipulation, and theorized usage of Soul Mutilation, but that’s only something that Dante suspected - and feared. Fear and five Five: Give into the Rage - Powers: Bloodlust Empowerment, aided-Peak Supernatural Condition, and Hellfire Manipulation(Minor) The fourth and fifth fears - the fear of losing all sense of self-control and giving into dark desires - are manifested here, where here all sense of control is lost and temptation is too enormous to ignore. For Dante, he enters a state of absolution. The sins of his soul have had enough, and they push all of their frustrations outward into the material plane. It’s too much for Dante, so his sense around him is lost. Unable to know who friend or foe is, his body, led by his wrath, pushes all physicality within his Demigod body to the absolute maximum. Any physical aspects that Dante was capable of doing are pushed to the max. Here, with the aid of the fires of the underworld themselves, is where Dante enters a madness fueled by fire that can only be stopped by running its course, which seems to be a full hour after the rage was awakened. Fear Six: Power: Bloodlust Aura Not yet manifested. Fear Seven - Powers: Invisibility Not yet manifested. Fear Eight - Powers: Shadow-Metal Manipuation(limited to the rare metals of the world) Not yet manifested. Fear Nine - Powers: Fear Embodiment Not yet manifested.
