He does not believe in slackers, or people who find the easy way in life, resolved with a semi-restrict demeanor in not sympathizing with people's issues. The concept of black and white are overrated, especially in a job where he needs to stick to one side without wavering; ghouls are sadly the species that cannot exist, or otherwise, he cannot see a peaceful son where his son can grow without being harmed. This very reasoning has allowed Hisao to continue with his duties, he does not care for a righteous cause or even a justified world; he wants a world for his son to grow, partially selfish and perhaps unrealistic. Hisao is sociable to his colleagues, but there is a certain level of distance measured, personal attachments are fickle in this type of work, though he is always somewhat casual on the job, particularly relaxed when speaking to those who have garnered his respect. Hisao isn't a fan of disrespectful favour or to be licking anyone's boots, even if someone holds a higher title than himself. He respects physical work, those who have survived and pushed forward are people he can get along with. Hisao doesn't like large crowds, unfortunately not the best modern soul with the newest trends or latest fads balling through the younglings; many people have accurately noted him to be an old soul, even his son has described him as such, not that it bothers him. He favors expensive tobacco, importing his brands from Holland or France, occasionally with importing his liquor, using his hefty paycheck to treat himself from time to time. He cannot tolerate or stomach the cheap stuff; needing his addictions to be on a certain level of refinery. Smoking passes the time, coupled that it calms him down the pressurized situations. He lacks a modicum of attention if focusing on tedious duties such as cooking, cleaning or even laundry, explaining quite rightly why he's so messy, and even in work, disorganized files. In battle, he applies the same sort of principle, pushing, and adopting a stubborn approach, innately reflecting his thoughts with the use of physical movement – he's worked with multiple partners, but at the minute, he hasn't met that one particular individual. History: Hisao grew up in a reclusive, urban town in the flourishing green side of Japan, with a booming population of over three hundred; the town earned its way by the surrounding rice fields and mining what they could in order for the village to prosper. Life was simple in the town, he attended a small school, encompassing all kids under one roof, and teaching two select classes; the town wasn't big enough to afford a big fancy school, and thus, the kids had to struggle through with. Hisao's was a simple kid he would say, him, and his parents, moving into the brushes of the desolate society to escape from the struggles from the outside world; although there was something lurking in the boastings of tranquility. Every few weeks, someone went mysteriously 'missing' as to why, nobody knew why, chalking up the missing as someone moving away without telling anyone, numerous cases like these stacked over the months, totalling to a small number, but exceedingly large to the town. Hisao began to notice the trends, every few months, wasn't a week, a day.. why just a few months? He couldn't find a connection between the humans themselves, all ranging from walks of life, and thus, came to the conclusion their disappearances were non-discriminatory. He was just fourteen at the time, far too small to make a real impact in the ripples of mystery claiming the town, but after a few weeks of digging around, asking the locals, checking the beneficiary of the local's town council house, and all records from history; the connections were becoming more obvious something was afoot. Money was also disappearing in large quantities [small, but large to the town] "Don't dig any further." Sprawled across his family home, painted against the door, what Hisao recognized as blood, this cemented every theory boggling in his mind; his parents simply told him don't go any further, and leave the matter alone. Hisao was far more determined to find out what blackened corruption laid in the wake of the happiness it spurred; he became more feverish, looking back at all he collected from the weeks of investigating and came to a conclusion. The church was the largest place in the town to hide a large quantity of bodies, if the locals were not reporting anything from their surrounding greenery; something had to be hiding in town. Hisao took the final step in figuring out the mystery, taking the guise of the night under his wing, and exploring the local town's church. What he found wasn't what he wanted to know; numerous bodies, flesh torn from the bones, rotting away underneath the confines of the basement, one big pit of bodies all slung together, piling across one another in a mangled form of nonchalance. Hisao screamed, and he finally knew the truth, ghouls.. everything clicked into place, and he ran up back to home, only to find his parents quite rightly killed, his sister was wailing in the background, two years old, and far too young to know what transpired. He never did find the culprits. Grabbing his remaining family, Hisao left town, leaving behind Scarlet Village; what he later dubs as the town that mines humans for meat. Two days of struggling on the menial food, he collapsed on the road, and a travelling pair found his body, alongside his sister. He was later taken to Tokyo and put under the care of the CCG orphanage and later studied in its Junior Academy. He scored highly in his aptitude test and was subsequently put through the kakuhou surgery, successfully turning him into a Quinx. Using his superior ability, Hisao managed to climb the ranks and reached the position of Special Class Investigator before the Spade Gang purged the Commission of Counter Ghoul. He now leads the remaining Quinx in a mutual alliance with the Time Hound and her Pack, with the goal to drive the Spades out of the City of Tokyo and rebuilt the CCG.
