Gren looked at Karaha as she kept insisting that he stay out of the lower trunk. Gren wasn't what you'd call rebellious, but he didn't like being constantly told what not to do without a good reason why. "It's dangerous" is obvious, which is why he was going to go with Fuse and Breeze. As for this mysterious and powerful female pokemon, Gren had no idea what Karaha was talking about. He supposed that there would be some pretty tough people down there though, but if all four of them work together, no one was too strong. Besides that, if this pokemon was as strong as Karaha says she is, then all the more reason Gren needs to hurry. The sooner he finds the pokemon he's looking for, the sooner they could leave the lower trunk to somewhere safer. Gren left after Fuse and Breeze, trying to keep up with them to the entrance.

Gren didn't take anything he didn't already have; he let Fuse buy the orbs since Gren didn't know a thing about them. He had his pouch of Sitrus berries, his lucky rock, the strange marble, and everything else given to him by his friends in town. Gren wasn't sure what was going to happen once they find that pokemon he was looking for. It might be life-shattering. Or maybe it'd just be the first step to a far greater adventure. Gulping his fears and doubts away, Gren walked up beside Fuse.
