Elisse Mariselle
Town Meeting

Some time passed before Elisse gave up her vigil of outside. It hadn't occurred to her that there was an impending Apocalypse, which took precedence over a visit to some crappy "tourist" spot. If people weren't really visiting before all this, they certainly weren't going to bother now. Elisse realized this and sat bored on against the wall, sulking away. It wasn't until a strange flicker and eventual loss of the power that caused Elisse to snap out of her brooding to watch the old woman, Ann, mutter a curse as she stumbled upright. Elisse watched her waddle up to the door and glance outside with her hands on her hips. "Huh. I wonder if..." Her voice trailed off as she furrowed her brow thinking about what just happened. It wasn't apparent to Elisse but Ann was a bit senile to not even consider that a power outage in an Apocalypse usually meant bad things. In fact, Ann hardly displayed any concern for the End of the World and instead carried on with her mundane life, but Elisse wasn't a good judge of that fact. She, too, was guilty of being unconcerned for the End of the World as she was blissfully unaware of it. After all, it wasn't her world in a sense. Elisse continued to watch Ann's reaction to everything but only saw her confused stare through the glass door. After a moment, the older woman made a decision and decided to waddle away to investigate what the town was doing. Elisse didn't budge from her spot until she heard the sound of metal lock clicking into place. It seemed like there were going to be no visitors to Number 1 Sealth Road today... Elisse sat for a few minutes alone as she tried comprehending everything happening in a short period of time, but being on the duller side of herself, she didn't know what to think. However, she knew what she wanted to do. She had to leave her little sanctuary and see what was going with the outside world. So she did. ---- Elisse had apparently enjoyed the feeling of the sun in a previous lifetime but not anymore. There was no feeling of anything in her spectral body as she walked along the pavement of town. Hell, she didn't really feel her feet compress as she walked and the whole thing felt like she was just floating in a way. It made Elisse feel as if she weren't around anymore and that was a scary reality that she had never really accepted since her passing and resurrection. In other words, she was dead but refused to believe it. She was just different, she'd say to herself and carry on like passing through walls was nothing. She was just a little bit different then all those gathering in the town square... Once Elisse reached the town square, she wandered amongst the people. Deep down, she was envious of how most were interacting with each other in a way she couldn't but stubbornly, she told herself that she just wasn't in the talking mood. Instead, she decided having a quiet vantage point to people watch was best and chose a central tree to hop onto. She blissfully kicked her feet as she watched everyone in the town scurry about, waiting for whatever was going to happen next.
