Gallus didn't flinch. He waited for Peiter to shout everything he wanted to and then paused to make sure that he was done. His next movement was to face Uthri, calmly addressing her. "Uthri, I need you to go outside and help the healers pack up." Uthri silently complied, but not without eyeing Gallus with fear. Again, Gallus waited until she had left the tent. He then turned his head back to Peiter. He answered Peiter's glare with a stern scowl. What came next were not words. Gallus stepped up to Peiter. Peiter felt a wrenching sensation before he recognised what the sound of skin striking skin was. His head had turned away Gallus and his vision went completely out of focus. Shock gave way to stinging pain and Peiter's vision focussed on Gallus with his flat hand having followed through to his opposite side. Gallus muttered through grit teeth, "I did not adopt an ungrateful coward into this pack!" His brow had dropped into pure anger. "Your words are that of a spoiled child." Even if Peiter had a response, Gallus turned on his heel and began to stride for the exit as briskly as he came in.
