The Red Claw
At first, the Red Claw believed the white girl's sudden turn against her companion would be a boon to him, especially when Graffiti placed a gas mask on to her own face, confirming her identity, but at the same time obscuring her features. If he had his own way, this would be no problem, as it would have been the end of things; perhaps the companion would even have shot the suspect herself, and the Red Claw's job would be done. Alas, whatever honeyed lies the torturer told her partner were enough to sway her, and she promptly turned the pistol on the Red Claw (he noted the direction the weapon was aimed, and the likely cone of fire the initial projectile would take), stepping between himself and Graffiti in a way that confirmed their allegiance to one another. The Red Claw heard clearly the girl's statement, and argued with himself about whether he might now freely slay both of them, having been targeted with a lethal weapon. The question of whether or not the other girl was herself a vigilante of more stern moral fiber still stuck in the Red Claw's mind, though, and regardless, whilst the Red Claw could chance a double kill against both targets, there was a good chance of Graffiti escaping to inflict yet more needless agony on others, in exchange for the death of a potentially-clean victim. Never mind the possibility that, somehow, the Red Claw was defeated by these two, and then either killed or imprisoned - unlikely, but not impossible in these circumstances, two against one. No, the exchange wasn't worth the risk overall. Better to choke down a lie for now, and find an opportunity to strike against them as individuals later on. The white girl in particular needed more evidence against her before a clean kill could be made. "I suggest you calm down and lower your weapons. I'm not here for either of you, despite my reputation," the Red Claw states bluntly, the proper tone of his massively-altered voice impossible to discern. "It just happens that the Blood Blocks are highly crime-ridden, thus worth patrolling. Would you not agree, Graffiti?" [@fluorescent][@Xandrya]
