So we manage to get a prior service signal guy to set up Internet in the barracks (he bought like, a repeater or something off Amazon and stuck it in a homemade waterproof box on top of a metal bar on the roof to take some Internet from the command bay nearby) and bring a little bit of joy to my platoon. Here at combat outpost Bucknamistan, luxuries are scarce. To get cell service I need to climb a literal mountain and walk a mile each way for one bar.

On the plus side I only have like 25 more days out in the field.

I've also gotten addicted to smokeless tobacco and chewing sunflower seeds.
