Clyde did not live with the family, he visited from time to time. there was no way he could have figured out that she was seeing someone. and even if he knew she had a lover, as long as they didn't meet he couldn't have know he was a kelpie. and Aoi might have suspected something but she died before she could say it to her brother ( that is why she raised her voice to the man, she knew Elenore was in love with someone)
