The formerly hallowed heroes of the Citadel, being cast down from their lofty positions and reduced to yet another foe for the Citadel to overcome. The wars left destruction on a scale unseen since the loathsome Rachnii wars, wherein untold millions perished in brutal conflicts and warfare. The Krogan fell, but that was several hundred years ago. We've rebuilt. A new war threatens the very stability of the universe, the First Contact War. Humanity has entered the fray and has done so with murderous intent as they have caused bloody war to erupt across Citadel space. You are a small crew of mercenaries, stationed here in the Terminus systems. To some, the most lawless place in the universe, to others, a literal heaven. You each come from your own walk of life, your own race, and own culture, none of that matters here as prices are just as often in blood as they are in credits. Though you are not yet a unit, but all of you have come here, to Aramis Bas'nahal's blood sports arena. None of you know of the Batarian himself, but his status is legendary amongst these systems for he is one of the grandest yet bloodiest pirates to have lived. Do as you shall, but remember this: The Terminus Systems have claimed the lives of people far greater than you. ------------------------------------------------------------- Attributes: Not truly tabletop, but rather a nice guideline that stands to show what a character can and can not do logically, that being said attributes range from 1 to 10, with lower being worse than higher. A strength of 1 means that character is so weak that they likely struggle to even handle a normal gun, whereas a strength of 10+ is absolutely titanic able to throw people around like they are nothing.
Attributes are as follows: Strength: The Physical Strength of the character, governing their melee and shotgunning ability. Perception: How perceptive the character is of the world around them. Endurance: Raw physical toughness and ability to shrug off harm. Charisma: Social awareness and poise. Intelligence: Mental acuity and ability. Agility: Balance and gunplay, also technically some more finesse based melee. Luck: The general measure of good fortune. Seperate skill for biotics: Biotic level is endurance+intelligence then /2. Level, Biotic: The biotic abilities of the character, 1 is outright useless whereas a 10 is highly powerful. You have 45 points to spend here. Make them count, but remember your racial bonuses.
Races:
They are as follows: Citadel Races Asari: +1 Charisma, +1 Limitations, -1 Endurance Drell: +2 Agility, +1 Perception, -1 Endurance, -1 Strength Elcor: +2 Strength, -2 Agility, -1 Charisma Hanar: +1 Agility, +1 Charisma, -2 Endurance Humans: +1 to any stat. Salarians: +1 Intelligence, +1 Agility OR +1 Perception, -1 Endurance Turians: +1 Endurance, +1 Perception, -1 Charisma Volus: +1 Charisma, +1 Perception, -1 Endurance Non-Citadel Races: Batarians: +1 Strength, +1 Endurance, +1 Perception, -2 Charisma, -1 Agility Krogan: +2 Endurance, +2 Strength, -1 Agility, -1 Intelligence, -2 Charisma Quarians: +1 to any stat. -1 to Endurance when not in a sanitised suit. Vorcha: +1 to any stat, -2 Charisma
If you seek knowledge upon the other races, this is likely the best place to use: http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Races Classes: Not a solid foundation or what you can and can not do, but rather a nice guideline that serves to show their general ability and specialisations. For example, a full blown soldier would be best suited to protracted firefights and whatnot, while biotics would be best to use their strange abilities. Classes are as they appear in the games. Standard six. Character Sheet: Nothing entirely special, but there is a standardised one should you wish to use it.
Name: Character's name and any alias they may go by Race: What race they are. Age: How old your character is. Appearance: A detailed description of what your character looks like and a picture or screenshot, if possible. Personality: The character's personality and how they are as a person. Equipment: Self-explanatory, but remember that you will be encumbered if you carry too much... Miscellaneous: Things that do not fall into the categories above. 'Class': General class layout from the game, remember that it is more there for guidance than anything solid. Character Background: A decently descriptive backstory explaining who your character is and how they developed into the person they now are. You don't have to go too crazy, but a few well-written paragraphs would do it nicely.
[@MaxxRocker] [@Epicface] [@Al]
