This is where we'll discuss the roleplay and such. If you have questions about the lore, the roleplay, and rules, post them here.
I remember this starting about seven years ago, but I guess the line of dominoes started long before then. For decades, we dug into the earth for its resources. That liquid black gold kept us in motion. With that being said, it wasn't going to last us forever. When our world's leaders noticed this, they took action. America annexed Canada somewhat forcefully for its fossil fuels. Countries that were once bound together by treaties and unions were now fighting in the east over the abundance of fuel there. It was not until the first atomic bombs fell that we marked the end of life as we knew it. Surprisingly enough, it wasn't for the reasons we imagined. When the Earth shook, it shook us back. Coastal regions of earth were flooded with Tsunamis. The UK was almost completely engulfed in water. Russia and China were buried in constant snowstorms. Western America was burned all the way to Texas. The earthquakes in California caused a chunk of it to be lost forever. The east coast was just as lucky. Ungodly wind, rain, and hail turned the sprawling cities of the coast into hardly recognizable pillars of rubble. Billions died in the first years, but all was not lost. People found ways to survive. They dug into the rubble and took shelter, adjusting their eyes to the darkness. Sadly, though, some grew desperate, or they just haven't forgotten their old ways. Looters form gangs to terrorize the unorganized survivors, leeching off of them to guarantee their own survival. Despite the fact that guns are rare and ammo even more so, they still remain a problem, even with their bats and shovels. The year is now 2040. I look at my home, Norfolk, Virginia, and I can't seem to recognize it. Vegetation has taken the once great city. The bridges and tunnels leading out the city have been either destroyed or flooded. The only place that looks familiar to me is the mall, and that has a cargo ship lodged into the side of it. Most days, there's nothing but rain. Not too much to worry about, but on the odd day, I have to stand through harsh winds that can push cars and take cover from the hail that I've seen pierce skulls. Whenever I have a quiet moment, I ask myself if there's anyone out there. Anyone who has gotten tired of hiding in the rubble, poking their heads out to this scary new world. People like me, willing to take a chance and fight against the tide the best we can. If I see people like that come around, I may just find hope for the future of mankind after all.

1. None of that godmodding stuff. For those who may not know, that means you don't make your character immune to injury. You cant dodge every punch or chunk of hail. I'll leave it up to you if you want your character to die. 2. Don't move other people's characters or try to kill them. 3. Swearing is allowed, but no spamming 4. try to post at a decent rate. You don't have to post every day. Every three days is where I draw the line. If you can't, message me. We can work stuff out. If you are absent for four days without a message or any activity at all, Your character will be killed ambiguously. 5. stick to the group once it has been made, but you may be separated by plot elements. 6. There are hardly any electronics left. Phones are just as good as rocks. Guns and ammo are also incredibly rare. Remember this when you create your character. 7. Collaborating with others would be cool to see if it ends up working. 8. Rules may be added later.

The roleplay begins in the ruins of the city of Norfolk, Virginia, near the MacArthur Mall. This is an urban setting near the Elizabeth River, which is now at a record high tide. Expect everything at ground/road level to be under at least of foot of water. The mall will be the meeting point, given its rumored abundance of resources and people. You can start anywhere within a mile radius of the Mall. Nearby landmarks include the Norfolk Tides Baseball Stadium to the southeast of the mall, the Scope Arena north of the mall, and the flooded Nauticus Science Center along with the wreckage of the USS Wisconsin to the east.
