[/quote] The only reason that a wolf's howl can be categorized as inhuman is because we are able to identify it as the sound a wolf makes. But if a person had no knowledge of wolves or their howls, and were to hear a person howl, they could easily make the assumption that somewhere, this form of speech was used and deemed a form of human communication. Much like the theoretical boy who'd never heard or heard of wolves I just mentioned, Roman would have no past experience with John's inhuman speach, so he could definitely mistake it for some language somewhere.
