That's understandable. Even though I've been massively hyped for this one, I've not been a lifelong fan either. I'm a huge RPG guy, but I never really played Final Fantasy when I was younger. I played a bit of VII, but I didn't own it so I didn't get to finish it back then. When the XIII series was unveiled, I was most hyped for Versus, but I ended up liking the first XIII. I also played a bit of XIV (the re-release), but I can't be bothered to pay per month to play an MMO so even though it was great, I couldn't commit the funds to it. XV is probably the first FF I've been stupidly hyped for so that just shows you my experience with the series as well lol. I ended up preordering the Ultimate Collector's Edition so it's safe to say I'm putting all my eggs in one basket here.
