Amusing really in her head. From Vanessa's ways of acting she knew it was just a joke and sarcasm. However the next comment took her by surprise. She could scent it? Interesting... "my lands?" Pat grimaced at that comment. Even if Vanessa was the oldest wolf around here, probably, it was by no means her lands. She had not earned it. Not proven herself worthy of any land. Pat wanted to speak up but held her tongue. It was no use in starting an argument right now. Even the comment about her hating Vanessa and wanted her dead did not prompt her to speak. She was trying her best to stay calm. For Riley's sake she had to. That's what she kept telling herself at least. What did prompt her to speak though was when she was confronted about the gun. "Yes...I got a piece, at home. I don't think that any of you will attack me. However I don't trust her," she inclined her head towards Vanessa, "and if any of her old...friends..decides to show up. To me, a pack of just three seems quite odd, and she has killed two from the pack. What about the rest? I'm not a wolf. I can't fight, but with a gun at least I have the chance to protect the ones I care about." Pat managed to stay calm as Connor started assuming things about her. Things that were much off. "No..I don't worry about that. Neither am I jealous of her. I dislike her for what she put everyone through and then is unable to back it up. Neither am I afraid of losing anything. I love Riley. If she stops, then that's what happens. I don't want it to happen, but I have no right to control her or anyone else for that matter. The one I don't trust is Vanessa. I even trust the Australian girl more." Pat turned around and turned off the bike and got the keys before walking up to where she had stayed the night. Shivers ran through her spine as she looked at the tent before taking a deep breath and entered and started packing up her things.
