Did you plan on Botan to dispatch it in one strike as planned, and if so did you want Botan to get into how she would like to learn more? Her approach can't be as rash as Yusuke or Kuwabara's, and she's not nearly as fast and lethal as Hiei. With Kurama, she could learn the proper amount of restraint, and maybe ask for pointers when they have time that doesn't involve schoolwork or the investigation? We can extend the night a little more in that case. Shiori already thinks they're making out.
