I just don't want the viewer to skip past it because it's... going to be on Kurama's mind for a while, until he understands Botan as a person and appreciates who she is far more than she is used to. A thankless job like ferrying souls, coupled with the stress and pain of separate souls, is something she has had to endure alone. With that in mind, and Botan's intrigue in how he lives (and how incredible she thinks he is, to which he doesn't think he's that special), they have plenty to talk about.
